Heard a few coaches were comparing him to Rio Ferdinand (Andy Reid maybe)...can see why. Jesus he's another gem unearthed by Kenny

Can we not develop a flipping midfielder like we do defenders.

Kilkenny
Coventry
Molumby
Knight
Taylor
Watson

All playing in Championship this season. I think Coventry and Kilkenny will be useful additions and introduced sooner rather than later, if not this campaign then in the Nations League next year.

Then theres also Smallbone in the Premier League with Southampton whos injured at the moment that was looking good.

On top of Johannson, Noss, Tierney, Devoy and others in the u21s who are probably still a good bit away but look very promising.

I must say this lad looks the real deal, as others have said he looks so comfortable and confident on the pitch, would've loved his shot to have gone in late on.

100% agree with this.

Definitely worth looking at in a holding mid role.

From what I've seen so far of the lad (really just these recent internationals and some highlights last season), he has a good touch on him, nice balance and a cool head.

Yes I was really impressed with him. If only that shot had gone in I think I would have creamed me pants right there.
We are pretty blessed at CB now!

For a 19 year old CB, to have 2 performances like that on what our your first appearances for your country. shows he has something special. Has the pace, the strength, and the technical ability on the ball too.

He's going to be a mainstay in this team for the next 15 years if he avoids injuries.

I think my favourite thing (of all the many many good things he did yesterday) was his quote after the game about his shot at the end..

"I was taking my jersey off already straight away after it left my boot. To be fair to the keeper, he pulled off a good save, but I was ready to jump into the crowd."

He really did look top class. I am very excited about his chances. Only 19! Even looking at Liverpool (as an example) and the CBs like to also get forward and join the midfield and I could see him sliding in easily instead of Gomez if he was to keep of that level of performance. Maybe it’s the green blinkers but he just appears to be oozing class.
Let’s hope Norwich manager was watching the match and starts to use him more in the PL!

He looks sensational. Thought he should have played on Saturday and he showed why last night. Appreciate it would have been a lot of minutes for a kid in a week.

Idah and Omobamidele didn't look out of place playing at this level Omobamidele looked a class act.

Norwich will definitely benefit from that games these lads have played and I'm far more confident that they'll see premier league time on the pitch.
