Doubt it. He's behind Ederson anyway and imagine Pep wouldn't let him sit on the bench as number two.

Let's not lose the run of ourselves completely!!

Serious note I doubt it Carson will slot in for the one game. I wouldnt be shocked to see Steffen look to move and establish himself as a first choice keeper somewhere certainly after next season. He's 25/26 now not unlike Martinez left Arsenal for Villa hes at that age he will look to move on!!

There is every chance Bazunu comes in as 2nd choice instead of Steffen if he stays fit and keeps progressing!

Would think that a championship club could do a lot worse than having Baz in the team.

I'm a West Ham fan, Fabianski is 36 now, I'd happily take Bazunu for the next 10 years

I suspect you will see that next season that's if he doesn't attract interest on the continent. He captured an awful lot of people's attention the last week I see Serbia's main sports outlet did a special piece on him today and all!

It honestly wouldn't shock me if Championship clubs tried to hijack that loan in January and City bite the bullet and step him up a level again! On the off chance Steffen is leaving as early as this summer they may test him out at that higher level to see how he copes! I do see Steffen leaving in a few years that's for certain.

Had an absolute cracking 1st half there. Commentry on the game saying how much of a class act he is. Keeping poor Troy from getting on the scoresheet though..

Pretty much, fans on club twitter page saying he's the only player holding the team together and turning up each week.

By all accounts he did keep Troy off the scoresheet a couple of times.

Of all of our youngsters, he definitely has the best chance of being Ireland’s first world class player since Roy Keane.

(defining world-class as being one of the best 2 or 3 players in their position)

100% agree. He has it all. Scary that he is 19. Would be great for an Irish keeper to be at a top 4 PL club for 10-15 years.

It's similar parallels to when Shay Given came on the scene. You know when you know. Also similarly it looks like a lot of very talented goalkeepers will not get as many caps due to the Bazunu's ability.

Shay given was keeping out some fairly ridiculously good goalkeepers at. the time.

Bazunu is the man responsible for saving Kenny's job.  Would have got a thumping against Serbia only for him.  Kept us in the game in Portugal and saved a crucial shot in Azerbaijan with the game still in the balance.

His confidence and class have been a great influence on those around him.

You could look it like that but really it's a collective effort. He has done his part for sure and been great. However, other than the peno, which was a bit of a lottery and one of the Serbia chances he saved with his foot, he would have been very disappointed to have conceded the saves he did make. Another keeper might have done just as well. He also made a few mistakes (like the peno he gave away, the one he flapped at that he had to recover on the line vs. Portgual and the one he flapped at vs. Azerbaijan at home that they nearly took advantage of). It any of those had gone the other way he could have contributed to Kenny getting the sack

Watched the highlights and second was a complete clanger from him that cost the goal. A bit in no man's land for the first too.
