Redmond is probably the only questionable decision.

He could have played O'Connor at LB or put faith in Roughan, so that Ebosele could start. Lyons is also hard done by.

Even still, it's a strong midfield on paper. Pace on the flanks. Ferguson as a focal point.

Thrilled to see Hodge.  He is quite the promising player. He must have really impressed in camp.

Have no problem with Redmond starting I'm just not sure if Cashin makes sense at left back?

Jesus that’s a strong side for this level. Some fantastic options off the bench too. Anyway watch us get thumped 3-0 now I’ve said that.

Surely a 5-3-2 formation with Wright at LWB.

The FAI's tweet makes it seem like a back 5 with Wright playing wing back, but surely not? Have to say the starting XI is not filling me with confidence. Playing either Cashin or Wright as your left sided defender seems like a gamble to me. Hodge and Redmond both gambles. Overall I don't particularly rate Tyriek Wright - hope he proves me wrong tonight. Going to make tracks for Tallaght now. ybig!

I would have played Cashin and O'Brien as the centre backs. It seems that Cashin is playing LB.

If you're going to play with a CB at LB, he should have went for Ebosele or Lyons at RB to counteract that.

But maybe it will give Connolly more freedom to attack.

Could be that and while Lyons would have been the logical choice at LWB Crawford does like Wright and would try and fit him in.

Didn't expect Hodge to start and this is his first competitive game at underage level since the U19s Euros three years ago. Has looked good anytime he's played so here's hoping that continues again tonight.

It was all looking reasonable until I saw Cashin at LB. We have the slowest full backs... Play Roughan or call up Adaramola not a CB.

Unless it's Tyreik Wright as a LWB which is probably even worse..

There is a lot of stuff to like about that team but Crawford always makes a few bizarre decisions.

Ebosele might be getting slightly pissed off, gone from turning up for the full squad and not getting a look in to turning up for the 21's ....and not getting a look in

If you’re in the EU, watch it on your phone. Just turn the wifi off and watch it on 4G.

In Canadia land. So that wont work
It would damage this forums' reputation

Ebosele would have benefitted from another season at Derby more than Knight.

His lack of games this season has probably gone against him.

I would be offended if I were him if I were being picked 2nd to a slow league 2 level player who is plays in midfield.

Great to see Hodge finally involved. Agreed that Lyons & Festy are being done dirty.

Festy was playing regularly, & well, in the Champion ship all last season and Crawford still played Wright/O'Connor (both now in their 3rd seasons in League 2) ahead of him. He's right to feel aggrieved (though he handled it poorly in March).

Just 1 appearance for Udinese though. So only 7 minutes of senior football since the 7th of May.

If he was still at Derby now, he'd be playing regularly and it would be difficult not to start him.

It gives Crawford an out. O'Connor and Wright are playing regularly.

Would hope to see Ebosele on early in the second half, his pace will cause serious problems

Nah. He was out of contract, totally right to leave and try his hand in Serie A.
Would you have said Nathan Collins shouldn't have gone to Burnley just because he wasn't playing in the early part of that season? He played the long game and it worked out across the season.

Festy is doing the same, finger crossed it works.

And again, Crawford ignored him while he was playing regularly in the Championship, so what good would playing in League 1 do for him here?
