Noß has more minutes played this season than Tierney has. |

Crawford probably sees the new lad Finn Azaz as a better ball playing 10 than Noß and seems a big fan of Tierney who brings some excellent work rate. I too would have preferred Noß over Tierney because he can also play out wide and feel like we'll definitely see Smallbone playing RW again this window in probably the away game. Not sure which wide player he could have left out to maybe include Noß because he was never gonna drop Tierney. |

Smallbone out wide is such a waste, surely he'll be in a 2 with Coventry or a 3 with Devoy included.
Would love to see: Maher O'Brien Cashin McNulty Festy Smallbone Coventry Devoy Lyons Ferguson Connolly I can't see him going with a back 3 and we'll likely see Wright start with a 4-2-3-1 formation (Wright coming in for McNulty & O'Connor for Festy) |

Hopefully after Junes games he'll have seen he plays better in the centre than out on the RW. But think depending on the result in the first game he might throw Tierney in midfield for his workrate with Coventry and Devoy siting while still wanting Smallbone in the team. I think even with McGuinness and McEntee out three at the back could be a possibility but again only in the second game depending on what happens in the first game. If we're defending a lead he might look to do what we did away to Sweden. |

A few places (Google & Livescore) are now advertising the 2nd leg kick off time of 6:15pm
That would be a lot more ideal than the possible 7pm ko Edited by Mr. Snrub - 21 Sep 2022 at 12:42pm |

Israel football association listing 8:15pm local so 6:15 Irish. UEFA site also listing 6:15pm. FAI material to media all week & the last few weeks listing 7pm Irish kick off. Let's presume 6:15 our time Tuesday evening Edited by wanderer - 21 Sep 2022 at 12:53pm |

Maybe the FAI are expecting the first half to be an absolute borefest with all the excitement in the 2nd half ?

Maybe the FAI should try get it on the screens in Lansdowne and have people in for the 2nd half of it.

Id say there could probably be commercial rights and license issues showing a live broadcast in the ground. Dont pubs have to pay an arm and a leg for it every year?

GK Josh Keeley (Spurs) called up. McNicholas apparently a doubt.

Matchday! Stab at the starting XI (not necessarily what I'd go with)
MAHER O'CONNOR O'BRIEN CASHIN LYONS COVENTRY DEVOY WRIGHT SMALLBONE CONNOLLY FERGUSON Depending on what way the match is going, Ebosele off the bench with 25 to go will give the crowd a lift! Loads of unknowns really with Ebosele, Connolly and the highly regarded Azaz all in the squad and regulars such as Mc Guinness, Bagan, Kerrigan and Kilkenny out. Looking forward to it.
