I lazily use the same few passwords for a lot of sites. About 4 of my accounts got hacked overnight

Anyone use any password manager apps or have any advice on easiest way to fix? Would hate to have to login and change passwords for about 50 online accounts I have
I dont email the count anymore, its been 9 months : ( He even sent me a YBIG scarf for my Birthday

The fix is to change the password on those sites to a more secure password.

The password manager apps only store your password in a secure manner, nothing more.

If you follow best practice, you will not re-use any password twice, hence the need for a secure password application to store your passwords.

I thought some of the password manager apps generate individual mental passwords for all of your accounts and also store them? Then you use face recognition or whatever to get in to it if you need to see a password

But if you're right - I heard a good tip that I'll prob follow. Have the same password for everything but change it at the end for the app you're using

e.g.

mylovelyhorsey12345Instagram

etc etc

It's possible but I don't believe that to be the case.

I have a strong password with a mix of everything and I rotate it every 90 days by incrementing a number to the end of it.

These sites are handy way of checking where your passwords have been robbed from

I use LastPass, any time I'm signing up to a new site I use LastPass to generate a new random password which it stores.

Also retrospectively changed all of my existing passwords to random ones generated by LastPass, it has a tool which can automatically change some of the more common sites like Twitter, Facebook etc.

Also has plugins for web browsers so it can populate the passwords there and also for Android & iOS where it can be your main password manager and as mentioned you authenticate with your fingerprint which is handy. It's free and pretty good. 1Pass it pretty good also.

Good man Fitzy - this is what I'm looking for

Presume it's just an app you download on to the phone?
