The preliminary round of the Europa League gets under way tomorrow.

Again, like the Champions League it feels odd that it's overlapping.

European club football getting very messy. Changes in Covid regulations by govts in Lithuania and Finland have cast doubt over derrycityfc and ShamrockRovers games. Postitive tests in Slovan Bratislava camp ahead of game in Faroes, Slovan asked to fly in their B team to play.
time is the stuff that life is made of, don't waste it.

Good to see Coleraine win. Last year their manager went to Lanzarote instead of going to the match.

Motherwell win 3-0 on penalties.

They played very poorly and will probably get hammered in the next round. I've got a feeling that something isn't right with Robinson and his players. This Motherwell team is a shadow of the decent team (by Scottish Premiership standards) they had last season.

Aberdeen by contrast played quite well and beat Viking (who were favourites) 2-0.

This Spurs performance is comical at best.

All over the place defensively and all over the place upfront - Which triggered the quadruple subs at HT LOL

Dundalk finish as statistically the third worst team in the competition as they had a better goal difference than Ludogorets and Gent. Thumbs Up

They scored more than 12 teams in the competition
Nobody in group f scored 8 goals.
Them and Celtic stunk the place out in defence both conceding 19

They deserved to get 1-2 pts. They got none but didn’t embarrass themselves.

Some amount of goals last night.
The average was 3.75 per game and most teams still have a chance of going through.

This must be the best night of football all season

PROPER football

Lots of high drama in the matches currently in progress

Arsenal are 2-2 against Benfica and need to win

Rangers leading 3-2 against Antwerp on the night and 7-5 on agggregate

Napoli look like going out

Can MOLDE hang on for a famous win in Hoffenheim

Rangers have just killed off Antwerp after yet another penalty, something they seem to get awarded in every European game.

A 3-2 win on the night for THE ARSENAL

They win 4-3 on aggregate and gain revenge on Benfica for 1991

That tie was the essence of PROPER European football

And this competition is the essence of PROPER European football

I wouldn't be surprised if there's two all-English finals.

The standard of European football is shocking ATM. Napoli lose to a team 5 places below Real Sociedad who got spanked by Man Utd. German teams going out to teams like Young Boys and Molde.

Then in the CL you have Atletico Madrid flying at the top of La Liga and barely able to string a pass together against Chelsea.
