All eyes on Minsk

Massive crowds have gathered in the centre and are moving towards Lukashenko's Ceaucescu style palace

Mr. Definitely Not A Dictator has arrived to the palace in a helicopter, brandishing an AK47 as a penis substitute

Earlier reports were that he had fled from the palace, but it seems that is not true

Army may be about to move in on the protests

Who loves Belarus more, the freedom protestors or the Definitely Not A Dictator

Crushing victory for Labour* in New Zealand

*Labor

Good to see competence rewarded in an environment where Murdoch media bullsh*t, and the hate speech it spouts, do not dominate

NZ seems to be moving progressively to the left

The President's son founded his own club, became the league's top goal scorer, was made captain and have won the league for the last six years in a row. In all that time, he was also elected Mayor of the capital.Clap

Istiklol (Dushanbe) was established in November 2007, under the Presidency of Shohruh Saidov. In 2008, Istiklol competed in the Dushanbe Group of the Second Division under the guidance of head coach Kanat Latifov, winning all 27 league games with a +147 goal difference and winning promotion to the Tajik League.[2]

Goal difference of +147 after 27 games, the FAI should send a delegation over to learn more about this "goal scoring".

Chile has overwhelmingly voted to get rid of its Pinochet era constitution which was drawn up by the godfather of "libertarianism", James Buchanan and other neo-liberals

The goal of it was to completely neuter democracy in Chile forever

Shows mass protest works as the referendum was only held as a concession after the mass protests less than a year ago

Chile was never libertarian. Not even close.

Since Pinochet murdered his way to power, Chile has always been ranked as one of the "most free" countries in the world by "libertarians"

That's because their definition of "freedom" and "liberty" has never encompassed such pesky things as freedom of speech or freedom to not be imprisoned for doing nothing

Sure look at who's number three in the list of most free places on earth by the Cato Institute right now - Hong Kong

https://www.cato.org/blog/new-human-freedom-index-us-15-new-zealand-switzerland-freest

"Libertarians" have always eulogised Pinochet era Chile

What has Hong Kong got to do with Chile?

Any libertarian who understands the ideology doesn't venerate Pinochet, for numerous reasons. At best its for the fig-leaf libertarians. Same types who applaud post revolution Somalia.
