As it says on the tin.
Lads booking tables etc. I dont think i am in as much of a hurry especially given the new protocols. Might be interesting to have a nosey though at how it works.

Would love a proper pint of Guinness. But doubt I'd be arsed going for the foreseeable with all the new protocols.

The pub as a place to go with your family for a bite to eat and a drink will be fine.
But as a place where you spending 5/6 hours with the lads having a few pints wont be back for a while.

Miss the few pints at weekends and the craic but not not that much. I miss having a proper well poured pint of Guinness in a proper glass mind when I'm thirsty. I wouldn't have interest in going to crowded areas as long as there is a virus on the loose. Can't enjoy yourself under those circumstances. Same goes for concerts, cinemas, big matches or airports etc.. |

Miss a decent pint and also the general craic you'd have in the pub.
Enjoyed going to the pub on a sunday after our game to back and few horses and watch some sport. I can see different kind of rules coming in for urban, rural and suburban pubs. You'd imagine urban pubs would have the most typical level of churn in terms of customers so more likely to potentially catch something. Rural and suburban pubs tend to have a steady trade of regulars so I would imagine the chances of an outbreak from that would be lower. My own opinion on what should be done is that everyone should be made sign in when entering a pub (provide id) and also someone on the door to monitor numbers. There shoule be zero tolerance for acting the bollox and horsed out if you're getting too close to someone.

I haven’t missed it at all. In saying that, I probably would have had 1 night out and a few pints before and after matches had this been normal times over the past 3 months. Most of my drinking is cans at home while I’m watching football.
When I was younger and before I had kids, I’d have missed it a lot more. |

Yes, I miss it. Not just about the drink, it's about the craic, meeting people etc.

Can't say i missed it that much, with the decent weather though the chance to go to a good beer garden would have been nice.

be good to go out for a meal and have a few pints with it.
I have thought to myself I am going to start going back to the pub more when they open back up fully. Too often spend weeks Or months even sitting at home not going the pub unless special occasion. Going out for a few pints with mates while watching a match, I’ll try do a bit more often.

Yeah. A lot.
My regular haunt over here would be a real community hub for the Irish in South London. Id be there a few times a week - Thursday for the quiz, Saturday we'd meet early, head to the local non league side and back in after for a rake of pints. Sunday for the trad session. So aye, miss all that. He's been open at the weekends here for takeaway ( ie, everybody bring a glass and have pints outside ) While its not the same, its great to see all the regulars again. There'd be older ones where the pub and the session on Sunday is a real lifeline for them - So was nice to see auld Vincent, an Octogenarian from Galway down knacker drinking outside the bar at the weekend
