Cascarino's is my favourite, hits the ground hard on the landing too. Unbelievable amount of power he put into it going backwards.

Long's vs England is probably "the best" I've seen, albeit certainly not the most important.
We're decent enough..

In terms of the moment, the execution of the header, this one for sure. One of his greatest moments.

In terms of build up, Aldo v Mexico. We can play a bit when we’re knackered!
The technique in Aldridge’s header is unbelievable. He couldn’t have volleyed it harder!

My first Irish international. A screamer from Ashley Grimes and a brilliant header by Stapleton to equalise at 3-3.

I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

It was Tommy Coyne in the win against the Dutch in ‘94.

Corrected Thumbs Up

Would agree with you regarding that goal being one of the best we've scored in terms of the football that was played in the build-up.

Houghton’s against Belgium in 1997 was absolute quality given the way he adjusted his neck.

That's the best one that I remember given that it was a decent move and the header itself was more difficult than a lot of those mentioned.

Paul McGrath's headed goal v Austria away Euro '96 from Mark Kennedy corner.. a thing of beauty even if we did get stuffed that night.

Robbie scored a great header against the Dutch in 2000 in the 2-2 away draw.

Seemed to be plenty more headed goals back in the 80's. Lawrenson v the Dutch in 1980 was a great header, Stapleton scored many's a headed goal as did McGrath.
