I'm back in the office a week now after nearly 3 weeks at home. I was actually excited to get back in after sitting at the kitchen counter on the laptop which I really didn't like. Could manage 1 day a week from home if I had to so could catch up when back in the office (2 screens, printers etc).

Fitness wise, I've eased off on the running as was training for the Cork marathon at the end of next month which is now off until September (can't see it going ahead then either) but still out 3/4 for days a week for shorter runs.

I was never a fan of drinking at home and very very rarely did it unless we had people over. But fook me I've taken to it now. Was at the bottle bank just under 2 weeks ago but now have just over 100 empty bottles in the shed which the 2 of us have gotten through (there have been cans and a couple of bottles of wine too). I'll calm it down this weekend but have found the houseparty app great fun, spending hours talking drunken sh1te.

I'd recommend downloading pysch to play if you're doing a group get together.

it’s getting tough at home, especially for the kids. I hope we are in a situation where some restrictions can be lifted after May 5th. For example, kids allowed play with the their friends outdoors in small groups, with guidelines to keep your kids in if anyone in the household has symptoms. Won’t be full proof but I think keeping people indoors all summer will drive them and us parents up the wall

Yeah I'd take that now. Last month only being able to take the kids to the park or the beach seemed limiting, now it looks like freedom.

Dealing with the kids while doing a 9 to 5 has been the most difficult aspect of this.
Trying to keep them off their phones and iPAD's and entertain them has been the biggest challenge, not to mention trying to get them to do their allocated school work.

We’ve been doing a few themed dinners the past week like Italian night, Thai night, Mexican night, complete with putting background music from the country on Alexa and me also using it has an excuse to get a few beers from the country to compliment the dinner. Any excuse Big smile

A great chance to pick up some tips from a Michelin star chef  , very easy to follow ....would highly recommend.
