Got an email from Aer Lingus to say they have extended their voucher scheme for flights from May31 to June 30. Vouchers valid for 5 years - value of voucher is cost of flight plus 10%. Although flight prices are expected to go through the roof after th initial price war..5 years is decent compared to other airlines. Will there be a vaccine within 5 years ?

Have any vouchers been issued yet? Had a flight cancelled at the start of April and took the voucher option but haven't got anything yet

procrastinated a bit with this but just off the phone with AIB re a chargeback for Ryanair. This is actually for a flight i wasn't going to use in the end anyway. Explained the craic and the emails I had and he said Ryanair have really f**ked themselves up by issuing emails confirming refund and then reneging in the form of vouchers.

Anyhow, for anyone still to get on this, save yourself the phone call and go to www.aib.ie and top left beside the AIB logo is a tab “I want to” click that and you will see the dispute/chargeback a transaction option. Print off the tick box form fill it in and print off any supporting evidence/emails. The address is on page 2 of the form. He also suggested a cover letter with it briefly explaining how Ive explored every avenue to secure the refund without success.

In a sign of the times, I should highlight that this refers to AIB customers only and is applicable for Debit and Credit Card.Customers of other banks need to check their own banks processes.

I have return flights to London at the end of the month with Ryanair, I'm not going now but I doubt the flights will be cancelled, changing the flights is not much use to me but I guess I can't even get a voucher?
