With the current restrictions here set to be extended at least till the end of January, it is unlikely (according to a fan forum) that we will be heading to the Grünwalder Stadion this season to see 1860 München.

Our planned last home game of the season is 15.05.2021 vs our city rivals

Similiar to the advice given to Bundesliga players before they resumed playing last season, the British government and the FA are telling players (who have all tested negative in advance) not to overcelebrate goals with teammates, in another attempt to sanitise the sport that bit more.

Remember, this is a government that still allows sports where 20 men line up together and grab each other every couple of minutes. It's aka "Rugby".

I actually thought this was a thing back when football resumed in June, players weren't hugging in celebrations etc. It's slowly but surely crept back in.

To be honest, if you're in a dressing room with a team, training together daily, if Coronavirus is there it's likely gonna spread. They should almost consider it a bubble of sorts really

Every player on the pitch and staff member has tested negative, within 24-48 hours. Either we accept their negative results as accurate and treat the players as not infected, or we don't.

They tried this when the game resumed last summer, but the nature of the game means there will be times when they have to be around each other as well as officials, on the pitch. Football is a joyless enough experience atm, without instructing players how to celebrate as well.

If they want to do something useful about stopping the spread, they can stop the non essential treks to the UAE in the middle of the season.

NHS staff have received threatening calls for giving covid vaccinations to Chesterfield players and staff.

The vaccines were given at the Chesterfield Proact stadium at the end of the day when the remaining vaccines would have otherwise been thrown away.

Liverpool won’t be playing at Leipzig for the scheduled game on 16th Feb - same likely to happen for City. I’d imagine there will be a fair amount of this when European ties come around.

Impact on World Cup ties - time will tell.
