They're saying 399 in total but I wouldn't be believing that for a second.

Leo said today "Counties that are going back into lockdown, like Dublin".

Dublin will be stage 3 tomorrow, rest of the country stage 2. We'll find out tomorrow what that means.

From the Indo - I wonder what they think people will do when they can’t even go for a bit of grub in a restaurant to socialise...

However, the county will not be moved into level three restrictions under the Government’s new plan for living with Covid-19.

Instead, Dubliners will be given another week to reduce the spread of the coronavirus before any further restrictions are implemented.

Under level three of the new plan people will be asked to stay in the regions and restaurants would be only able to take away or delivery of food.

Would people in Dublin not just get the train to other counties to go drinking?

It's not much effort, Dublin is a small county.

It would seem quite a bit of effort when you can just nip down to the local supermarket and pick up a few cans

You also don;t have to give your contact details

Actually I'm surprised the loons haven't gone big on the contact details as an angle to rail against

"Government conspiracy" and all that

I’d say 65-70% of pubs in Dublin are open as is. Upwards of that in the suburbs. Possibly 50% in town and many of those that remain shut are your tourist pubs in Temple bar which have no business reopening.

The real lobby was for those in rural Ireland where they didn’t want to stray from tradition and come up with ways of serving food. So it makes no sense whatsoever to keep Dublin pubs closed whilst most are open anyway with few cases and people will just book out the Dart to Bray spreading the virus may I add

Pubs haven’t been the issue since the lockdown was eased yet they are getting unduly punished.

We have a living with covid plan that’s being released tomorrow. Some allowed live and work away more than others.

Its very irritating that the last remaining pubs not open continue to be the easy target. The NPHET are like the anti-fun police.

This 5 stage living with covid is not worth the effort they are putting into it. We will react at the time as has been the case all along.
Do People really think this limiting the number of households visiting is going to be followed? I doubt half the people will know the current limit and will still have the whole family over when they feel like it.
I cant see people going back to Zoom meetings or street parties.  As long as kids are still going to school, shops are all open, i.e. we are not in a full lockdown then people are just going to go on as before, less the pubs potentially restaurants if we go back a stage.

Stay in their regions? No holliers for Dubs? Ah ffs.  Is this a request or a requirement?
