They might and probably should delay the reopening of everything on June 21 as the Indian variant is spreading quicker.
The pubs and restaurants are all open so the only thing you can’t do now is have large gatherings.

But I don’t see another lockdown happening with everybody over 50 having both vaccines.
By the end of Summer every adult will have both vaccines and then they can start the cycle again.

Hope you’re right Thumbs Up

I’ve no problem with the current set up.
You can still go to pubs and restaurants.
Wear masks inside shops etc but still working from home 5 days a week. That will be nice when the Euro’s are on!

I’m not ready to go back to the office til Sept.

I don't see us having more lockdowns even with the Indian variant, it's spreading yes but the hospitalisations are low so we just have to live with it and possibly have to get top up vaccines.

I don’t think that’s fair to be honest. Obviously there’s a very small percentage of clowns up to no good but the vast majority are behaving themselves.
I’d have a lot of sympathy for the 18-30 age group, no prospects of buying or probably even renting for most, living at home with mammy through an 18 month pandemic, at a time where you should be riding rings around yourself and partying. Those lucky enough to rent no doubt are in apartments with no gardens, and we’ve all been told to be outside.
Then to be met with a very hostile city, Dublin city doesn’t want people hanging around, they want you to drive in, shop & f**k off back to where you came from.
None of the above excuses bottle being flung at gardai but this “blow out” was always going to happen & as with everything were painfully underprepared & undereducated

I get that but after the pictures and clips from last week, it was inevitable that there were going to be a certain crowd going in this weekend. I would like to think that anyone with half a brain would have avoided the city centre and gone elsewhere. There are loads of places doing takeaway pints.

That’s why we can’t have nice things in this country. A few scrotes will ruin everything for the majority.

See that video of the Dubs jumping on top of a taxi. We need a few Polish police officers to come over and batter the life out of them.

The Port of Cork closure wasn't over Covid in the end. It was over someone climbing a crane and jumping into the river...whilst there was ships unloading. Compo Compo

And so do some of those scrotes too by the looks of it.

There are huge mistakes being made by both sides. Those c*nts on video jumping on that taxi are not representative of the vast majority of those who have been in town drinking over the last few weeks.

Is it alright to baton charge people? No. Is it alright to be launching bottles at Gardai? No. Is it alright to be leaving town in the state it's being left in even when bins have been provided?

Unfortunately that minority, who won't be the ones back in the pubs when they reopen, ruin it for those trying to enjoy whatever type of social life they can.

I know it's a stereotype but when you see grey tracksuit bottoms as the choice of attire for many of these dudes my judgmental side kicks into gear. They wouldn't be your usual South William street drinking crew.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Have all your vaccination stats been put on hold since the hack?

Think MM or Donnelly said over the weekend that 55% have now been vaccinated, is that on track for what you were expecting?
