The daily numbers in Ireland are now so low, they barely make the headlines. So we have to look to China again for new developments. Be it true or false.

Infection gone up in England in 36 different councils.
Unsurprisingly with all the illegal raves and title win celebrations, Liverpool has seen the biggest rise

It'll happen here too. I heard on the radio this morning that a tour bus brought Americans to Blarney yesterday.

HIQA report sends out big questions about the actual number of deaths here directly caused by Covid with the official figures reported by Dept of Health. If the HIQA report is true, makes you wonder how much faith we can have in anything we are being told.

I wouldn't have thought that. Dept of Health are including anybody who had Covid-19 when they died. HIQA are saying that some of those who died may not have died due to Covid-19, but due to whatever underlying condition they had. This is not new, Dept of Health said that from the outset Plus, the HIQA report just looks at averages over the past number of years and calculations based on expectations doesn't it? So never going to be 100% accurate either?

ons figures in England have deaths at over 30,000 more than Department of health figures. Tory’s give 3 different figures for deaths just to confuse people.

No one knows the real truth and never will.
ONS figures looked at death cirtificates where the person had symptons of not cause of death whereas Tory figures only counted hospitalisation. It's a massive clusterf**k which as previously said before will lead to Boris throwing Pandemic Pete under the bus as he's the overseer of it all which makes him the easiest scapegoat in British Politics history. Dead man walking springs to mind.

Out of all the rules Boris created, legalising street drinking and setting up beer stalls in middle of streets in English law has the stupidest one, it's created this mess. In Glasgow, you can go to prison, but in London even the coppers are getting involved

Not sure what’s wrong with that video. 1. Groups social distancing from each other 2. It’s outdoors and the risk of virus spread is dramatically reduced compared to that of a bar 3. Nobody seems to be causing trouble and Police are patrolling to ensure that remains the case I actually think we could do with similar as it encourages people not to socialise in indoor settings where, as I said, the virus is more likely to spread. But considering we are currently herding young people around the city from bar to bar every 105 minutes it would be too much of a stretch to expect them to do anything about our ridiculous city centre laws.

Everything is wrong with the video. Literally everything.
It’s a street packed full of drinkers so huddled together they may aswell be doing a conga which has been going on since 6am this morning until midnight. Scenes like this and the ones in Bournemouth last week where there was over 10,000 people crammed onto a small beach are going to be common occurrences. And don’t forget infection rates were up by double in 36 different councils prior to today.

Hold on. What is the alternative? Those same groups that are huddled together are huddled together in an enclosed environment, likely a bar. Ehh

That is not a bar. That is an outdoor market.
What's the alternative? Don't legalise street drinking? I'm not sure what's hard to understand. The party's still ongoing as I type this, has been since 6am. But there's nothing wrong with that, just the country will probably end up back in full lockdown by end of the month, but except from that, nothing else.

I know it’s not a bar - I watched the video and read your posts. Do you think these guys would be home with their feet up if they weren’t drinking at the market? No, they would be indoors in one of the pubs where the virus is much more contagious.

It's a once in a lifetime chance to rebalance our cities from car dependency to people friendlyness. More outdoor seating areas, on street dining and less traffic congestion please.

Looking at the numbers elsewhere, we be mad to open up the country or allow our people to international travel for the rest of 2020. I know it’s killing the tourist industry but looking at the numbers in places that have allowed travellers again or didn’t lockdown long enough, the numbers are creeping back up and spiking in some places.
Keep the virus out and we can stay out of Lockdown and keep the economy ticking over with domestic tourism and spending, that’s why I think we should all start encouraging and agreeing to.
