Can people genuinely not make a connection or are these the fantasy clothing version of the fantasy football team lads ?

Short of William Hill taking over the sponsorship and plastering a Union Jack on the front of it, I'd say pretty much any half serious sponsor will be considered, in fact if they were allowed put sponsorship on the back, sleeves, shorts & socks, that's exactly what they would be doing.

It’s not surprising, a hell of a lot of Irish fans are buffoons

For those that want no sponsor while its rumoured the debt is going to be more than 50m and gov funding is withheld.and UEFA is giving them loans where would you find the funds to replace that income stream and what would you say to employees who possibly lose their jobs and coaches and kids and clubs who miss out on funding.

I think most people who are mentioning the sponsorless shirt are doing so in a gallows-humour type of way. I made a similar comment yesterday but only because I'm kinda getting even more annoyed at how f**ked the whole thing has been allowed to get to. Think most people understand and appreciate, for example, that there are those who work in the FAI who are blameless here and could end up suffering massively.

With the right people on board this sponsorship deal ending could be turned from a negative into a positive.
Sadly with Conway & co refusing to leave no one in their right mind will look to be associated with them

It's all a massive Shane Ross stitch up. He wants the FAI to go bankrupt so that the IRFU can get their mitts on Lansdowne Road again at a knock down price. It's a conspiracy, I tell you, and they're all in on it.

Shane Ross is openly criticising the FAI all for his own public benefit.

The posh t**ser hasn't a clue about sport!
"Here's Robbie Keane...... yeeeessss! That is no more than Ireland deserve!"

Exactly, completely separate entities. Dan McDonnell suggested in paper today that Cadbury’s may come on board
