Very happy Waterford supporter now, thought we were dead and buried at HT but f**k me we turned it around. Very good achievement but I think winning the final is the only way to fully justify it and please god we do it. Anytime we beat Kilkenny in the championship is special.
Think Galway will do it tomorrow and it will be a repeat of 2017. Eitherway its lift for everyone in the country of Waterford and Galway/Limerick along with all GAA fans

Decent game. Didn’t give Waterford a chance and they were brilliant second half. Have to say tho KK were extremely poor the second half. Was like they had 13 men. Waterford were just running through their half back line. Anyway good to see them in the final they have some lovely players as they have always had down through the years and anyone in hurling knows they are better than they are the last few years. I remember been in Walsh park last year and we beat them by 20 odd points difference specially in first half playing into a gale. Easiest game ever but there was no way Waterford were that bad.
Anyway onto today, really interesting battle. Shane o Neil knows this Limerick team better than anyone else. Take out Tony Kelly and Clare were dirt poor when we played them. Tipp weren’t great either. Waterford best we have played but even tho they ran us close I always felt we had extra few gears of needed. In that form line Galway will be disappointed with the showing against Kilkenny, but hurled brilliantly at times against Tipp but no doubt sending off changed things. We should win but when it comes to sport and then specially hurling can’t take anything for granted. The Saturday night hurling is a joy to watch. Brilliant sat night entertainment. Don’t know the last Saturday night I watched a premier league game. It’s great to see.

Couldn't have asked for a better championship considering the year that's in it. Would it be fair to call this the new golden era for hurling like the 90's?
Waterford and Limerick have never met in the final. Would be something else if the Deise bridged a 61 year gap the same year Tipp bridged an 85 year gap. Waterford Tipp Limerick Galway We could be looking at 4 different winners in 4 years.

Limerick minors those years had Cian Lych, Tom Morrissey, Darragh O'Donovan Waterford had Austin Gleeson and Stephen Bennett Kilkenny had Liam Blanchford Galway had Conor Whelan They've all been playing each other so much at so many different levels, they really have raised the levels together.

Theres many more than what you have mentioned also, Conor Delaney, Billy Ryan, John Donnelly to name a few started all of Kilkennys games this year they won the minor one of those years. Galway a bit slower to get players through but Loftus, Concannon and a few others coming through this year

Still buzzing and can't wait for the final on the 13th. Waterford please please please do it and end the famine
Its going to be difficult and we have too play like we did against Kilkenny in 2nd half for the whole game. Limerick could do untold damage if they control the first half and no comeback will work. Hopefully we learnt from the Munster final Fergal Horgan as the ref is a disaster and it should of been a Leinster ref

Come on the Deise, great excitement around the place going by social media. Def quite a unique All Ireland and will always be remembered no matter the result. Limerick are some team and could easily blow us away on the day if everything clicks. Lets hope its a classic with Waterford coming out the winners
Antrim vs Kerry in the JM cup final will be another great game and will be delighted for whoever wins. Football is the dominant sport in those counties but the Hurling areas are quite strong and passionate as anywhere in the country |

I don't think that's right. What was meant to happen was McD cup was to be played off earlier in the year and finalists would enter McCarthy Cup at qualifier stage. As that didn't happen, as I understand, there is no promotion from it this year.

So it is although intriguingly if Kerry win next year they go into Munster (Also Mea Cupla. If things weren't changed this year Kerry would playoff against the bottom Munster team and not go into Leinster)

Think there still is promotion this year and the winner will go into the Leinster round robin for 2021 (even Kerry as farcical as it is) but then again nobody has a clue whats happening for 2021 and the championship could be knockout again

According to Wikipedia, if Kerry win they playoff with worst Munster team for a place in next years provincial. If Antrim win we're back in Leinster at someone's expense ( Laois?).
f**k knows. H'on Antrim
