I think Waterford will go far this year, they are usually at there best when playing in the muck and sh*te.
Tipp wont like playing in those conditions unfortunately but with it being a sort of knockout, really any team could be in with a shout

In Waterford Ballysaggart out of the championship after only making there senior debut last weekend. 2 heavy defeats with the Bennett brothers been outclassed (although Stephen played well last weekend, seemed very quite today)

Shows clubs need more than 2/3 intercounty standard players to survive in the grade.

Christy Ring's grandson Simon Kennefick had some game for Glen Rovers tonight. Didn't lick his hurling up off the ground
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

The third weekend in August should never be All-Ireland hurling final weekend

Ballygunner do 7 in a row in Waterford, amazing team and its hard to see any other team in Waterford beating them in the near future.

A load of retirements for Portumna this year but what a journey it’s been 4 All Ireland club titles including a back to back. Ollie Canning always said in his victory speeches that the wheel would turn again. Most of their toughest games during their peak were actually trying to come out of Galway. Only Dunloy and Ballyhale bet them outside Galway.

Very weird  time and dates. Say they will all be behind closed doors.

After the one sided wipeout that was the Na Piarsaigh v Doon game last night, the Tipp county final was one for the ages.

Kiladangan winning with a goal at the very end of extra time. First county title for them. There'll be some sessions in Puckane and Dromineer for the week.

Heartbreaking for Loughmore. Noel McGrath was unreal for them, as was John Meagher at Centre back. He's been a fixture for the tipp footballers but Sheedy must have been impressed today. Loughmore are in the football final next week. Some club.

Touts Out!

What a hurling hurling match. After 105 years we finally got our hands on Dan Breen. I taught nothing would beat Shane Long against Germany personally but when the sliotar hit the net yesterday it was just magical. Such a shame and a farce that only 200 fans were let in.
