The draw for the actual group is on next Saturday and we'll know the exact date we'll be playing in Bilbao.
Will people book that before our playoff has even been played?
Randomly picked the 16th of June and it's €95 one way on Aer lingus. Ryanair don't fly there from Dublin but of course they're not going to miss out.

Have a goo at the accomodation prices for Biblao on the weekend on 20th June - hostels at €200 per night.
TBF accomodation for Bilbao has been available for over 5 months at this stage we have 2 x 6 bed dorms booked slap bang in the city centre for €50 per person per night for the eve of the match and match night for the three potential dates with free cancelation. Probably all in Vain anywayCry

Metro will be 24 hours. Look at the areas along the metro. Leoia, Getxo, Sopelana, Algorta, Portugalete and Plentzia

Ryanair fly to Santander which is two hours away on a bus you get from the airport or city centre. Ryanair also fly to Biarritz which is a three hours bus ride away. 5 hour bus from Madrid airport too. Internal flights in Spain are very cheap. You can also get a train direct from Bordeaux to the French border and a three hours bus from there too. Lots and lots of options.

Ryanair also fly to Vitoria Gasteiz which is a great spot and possibly a great base to have if Bilbao becomes difficult to get reasonably priced accomodation. They dont fly direct from Ireland but im sure most on here are used to a little layover by now,

Yep. San Sebastian and Victoria and Bilbao are all only an hour or so on the bus from each other

this forum is so contradictory sometimes, no one gives us a hope in the football but when it comes to travel planning lads have accommodation booked for Bilbao. We’ll be talking about reserving rooms for R16 and potential quarter finals next!

To be fair some people already have tickets for Bilbao and will probably go regardless of who is playing like many did for the world cup last year

That's like saying taking out insurance means expect to have an accident.

Also the forum doesnt speak in voice even when it came to our former dear leader there was debate.

Also nothing contradictory to think we we have a less than fifty chance of qualifying, and also booking accommodation in Bilbao that you can cancel for free.

I've a nice looking place booked in San Seb close to the beach. Reasonably priced. I'm going to Bilbao either way for the weekend of the 19th, tho the idea of being there for Spain v OWC is a scary...

Unless people are leaving the game early, no-one is going to get that 10:34pm train. The game won't be on until 8:45pm local time.

You'd have to think the Slovakian's would put on a special train for the away fans as they wouldn't want a load of away fans hanging around after the game with limited transport options back to Bratislava. The vast majority of those fans will be staying in Bratislava.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.
