Will Jeff Hendrick and Robbie Brady still be Burnley players by the time the match gets the go-ahead ? Their contracts are up at the end of the season though the club has a one year option on Brady and Hendrick's representatives are already talking to them. Newcastle have reportedly expressed an interest in both as have a number of other Premiership and Championship teams but no mileage apparently in rumours linking Hendrick to Celtic.

You post an attention seeking and puerile match report on a game that didn’t happen and then try and take the moral high ground when called out on it? Tremendous!
ClapClapClap

Think of future generations finding this match report and thinking the game actually took place. Very irresponsible IMO.
You know the match will eventually be played in reality, right?  LOL
Yes but which result will stand ?

Would you be absolutely certain of this? It probably will, but the uncertainty in the world right now would put me off making any claims about anything!

Tedious diatribe. "No more goals" in a 0-0 draw takes the biscuit. Junior Cert repeats cancelled?

This sort of stuff is way over the top. He had a go; he missed the mark. Getting your jollies from a random swipe at someone's English on a football forum is pathetic.

I'd a quick glance at his 60 posts and I can't see any suggestion of that.

Regardless, I'm sure he's a big boy and doesn't need random lurkers like me weighing-in.

Looks like June won't happen. no play off until September/October at the earliest by the looks of it.

Mick's tenure hangs on whether World Cup qualifiers happen before or after Summer 2021.

If it's confirmed that it's before, then Mick won't be managing team into playoff. UEFA meeting this week which should clarify schedule.

I always felt that if June playoff didn't go ahead then Kenny comes in as scheduled.

Feel sorry for Mick, but he can hardly feel too bitter. Missing out on a playoff that he never earned and a play off that was guaranteed before he even stepped into the job.

And he never made any real attempt to use that safety net (which, as you said, he didn't even achieve himself) to build from and try and upgrade to automatic qualification but instead kept playing the same old faithfuls like Messrs Whelan, Hendrick etc. The only time we actually played anything resembling football was in those friendly matches v NZ & Bulgaria.

Very disappointing reign this time from him.  Unhappy

If Kenny was in charge, we're told, Ireland would play the beautiful game replete with amazing youngsters dazzling the masses. Great, but the same people would go ballistic if results were poor. Too many Irish fans are either naive or stupid or both.

As for Who's-the-Manager-Now . . .  Kenny and McCarthy must accept the FAI decision. One of them is likely to be discommoded - but given the upheaval of the world as we know it, any whinging will be about as popular as a fart in a spacesuit.

I agree with a lot of what you said there Brick, especially the definition of failure. However I can't say I've heard a single irish fan ever claim ireland would play the beautiful game under Kenny, on this forum or otherwise. I've heard a lot mention the approach and tactics would be different but that's clearly not the same.

Aaron Connolly, who might be likely to feature more prominently when Kenny takes over,is out for at least a few weeks after ankle surgery so an extended delay would help his chances. Likewise the more established players currently recovering from injuries including Coleman, Stevens, McClean and Young-Doherty. On the minus side, Slovakia should have their goalkeeper Dubravka available again and their Italian based players.

It won’t be played for six months, at least! I wouldn’t be too concerned about current fitness.
