Play off is off I imagine? Slovakia has just announced it is closing all its borders and not allowing non nationals enter the country.

I suspect exemptions aren’t going to be made for a football match.

So would that mean that if the tournament is postponed post July, which is very likely the fai will need to -

Negotiate an extension with McCarthy to keep him on

Or

Kenny takes over to secure qualification

End of July. When it was brought up previously what would happen if we didn't get through the playoffs Mick said he'd stand aside and let Kenny take over for the end of season friendlies

Just allow all the playoff teams into the tournament and have a mega reorganised tournament next year.

Just scrap it. It’s definitely for the best.

Problem is the Euros is a massive part of UEFA’s revenue over a 4 year period. Cancel the Euros, you might as cancel most UEFA support/grants for the coming 4 years which will affect football mostly at grassroots and lower professional levels.

Health comes first absolutely, but the reality is that clubs could go out of business and leagues suffer for a long time as a result of the financial impact.

Whether we like the Euros or not, it has its purpose on a grander scale.

Media outlets seem on be saying that postponing it for a year is to be discussed. I can understand, especially as the Play Offs are not likely to be completed in the near future, and there is a logistical element to that.

But that's kept for paying people off!

Just something I read this morning - no organisation is exempt from lack of expected revenue. It WILL have a knock on effect of some sort.

The Corona Cup

A pissy, overly-diluted, overly-carbonated, tasteless, pale imitation of the real thing. Its presumed sponsor would be entirely appropriate for this competition.

As was said, it's a joke anyway - just cancel it.

The play off will take place early in 2021, Woking midfielder Glenn Whelan retains his place in Ireland’s midfield for the crucial match

Only a global pandemic could have stopped Whelan on his quest for 100 caps.
