No news on that, last I heard they were in negotiations to increase our allocation from the 5% minimum. That was 6th January.

Norwich have just signed Duda, a midfielder, on loan from Hertha Berlin....it was his shot Steve Cook of Bournemouth "saved" at the weekend

Napoli just bought Lobotka, another midfielder, for €20m plus from Celta Vigo

Sriniar is first choice centre half with Inter and seems to be highly rated

Not familiar with anyone else they have

Surely McCarthy, Molumby and Knight should be certs to make the next final squad? All have become important players at their clubs in recent weeks/months.

RTE didn't have the rights to the Nations League so presuming Sky are claiming as the playoffs are connected to the Nations League RTE aren't entitled to show the game/games

Don't have rights to Ireland National League games. Would put money on RTE getting it.

It would make sense to give us an allocation of that size. I'm quietly confident Ireland's going to get through the Play Off's.

Team for Slovakia on form if the game was tomorrow - obviously form is not all that important but here we go anyway, im bored:

3-5-2

Randolph, Duffy/Coleman right sided centre back, Egan, Clark, doherty, stephens, mccarthy, hourihane, hendrick, mcgoldrick, long

Square pegs in square holes. Impact of bench with McClean, Connolly, Brady, Obafemi etc.

no shoe horning lower championship standard wingers into the team to get in the way of two top level premier league wing backs playing 352 343 every week. Mc Goldrick is far better dropping deeper and Long is having a little Indian summer and is always a threat. Lets have a front 2 and not live Didzy with nobody wihtin 50 yards of him

Its staggeringly obvious.

I would love to see (though it will never happen)

Randolph
Doherty Egan Duffy Stevens
McCarthy Molumby Hourihane
Maguire McGoldrick Connolly

I think that would give us a platform to control the game, two tenacious midfielders playing regularly and well for their clubs who can tackle, play a pass, and deputise for the full-backs when they push forward. Would free up Hourihane to be more expressive and dangerous, easing the defensive burden on him which we know he isn't good at. Up front, McGoldrick would have the freedom to either get in the box or drop deeper and be a link man for the two pacey wide finishers either side of him. He's good at both.

That's the team i feel would play most to our strengths at this moment.

No thank you Turkish......I'm sweet enough

Maguire going through a tough patch at PNE at the moment, looks like he may struggle to regain his place.
time is the stuff that life is made of, don't waste it.
