This article isn't a bad place to start. (Kieran Shannon, Examiner)

People who think we are doing well/OK under Mick should have a read of it, but to be fair to Mick, it also highlights just how poor we've been over a longer period of time as regards scoring goals V reasonable opposition. Something I hadn't realised was just how poor we've been at scoring goals that aren't headers or set pieces, these goals are nearly gone completely alien to us.

I fully believe we will do it , hopefully the younger lads coming through Parrot ,connolly etc with the mix of recent starters like Egan, Cullen , Stevens , Doherty etc will be buzzing .
This team is only getting better over the next couple of years .

UEFA say the draw will take 20-30 minutes:

That's handy cos I have some stuff fare locked but the lock runs out at 11:30am tomorrow morning. I'll be ready to click book once they confirm if we are home or away for the second leg.

They drag these things out. This draw could be done in 2-3 minutes LOL

Fingers crossed the final game comes out as a home one for Ireland (assuming we can get through the semi). The prospect of having to play two away games in two different countries in order to qualify would be rather unfair.

You could argue that we sometimes play better away but two matches in quick succession away from home that both have to be won would be a tough ask for any team.

So much for UEFA looking after the hosts LOL
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

This Ireland team, based on what we've seen under Mick so far, can we realistically see them winning two games AWAY from home in the space of a few days?

I really find it hard to see this coming to fruition.

Big time. Looks like a fatal blow to our already slim hopes. Whatever about the possibility of winning one away and one home game vs sides in or around our level, two away wins in the space of a week is incredibly unlikely given what we've witnessed thus far.

I think we are capable of getting two draws away from home (both 1-1 obviously) so we should be practicing penalties now.

on the positive side we will have to get through 2 fairly tough away games, it will be all the sweeter if we do manage to qualify
