Not really a plot hole (well kind of because it's briefly mentioned in the film and not talked about or expanded on)

But the plot in Jaws 4 were the shark is the subject of a voodoo curse put on the Brody family hence why it kills the younger brother in Amity and then swims to Bahamas to get rest of the family

I have never seen past the first two Jaws films.  I cant even remember the plot of Jaws 2 because it was sh*te.

To suggest a fish has a family vendetta would have to be up there as a far fetched plot.  What do you think?

Oh 100% Jaws 2 has its moments but of course nothing on the original.
I think Jaws 4 treats Jaws 3 as if it didn't happen ifirc because it wasn't well received and is pretty terrible though again has it's moments

Also to point out it's not necessarily the shark who has the vendetta but some Voodoo witch doctor who in turn is using voodoo magic to control the shark

Oh yes. I've heard about these ''loan sharks''.  Very dangerous.

T2 not really a plot hole but a slip in dialogue continuation.

When Arnie and John talk in the car park,  he says he needs to break Sarah out of hospital.

He says No. Literally 10 seconds later he tells him he has to do what he says in theory he should have gone a long with the plan of breaking Sarah out unless there was something that he couldn't put him in danger similar to not going back to his house.

They like to take lots of unnecessary risks in the future.

In the first movie they land their spacecraft on the planet's surface and have difficulty leaving. If they hadn't repaired their ship they would have been marooned there.

In the second movie, they face similar difficulties when their dropship crashes, and they have to remotely call the mothership for a spare.

Is it not beyond them to leave someone up in space, on the big ship, so they aren't constantly in danger of being marooned!

In Ferris Bueller he and his two friends go to a posh restaurant and Ferris pretends to be Abe Frilman - 'The Sausage King of Chicago' after spying the reservation list and the receptionist at the restaurant doesnt believe him.

After a small kerfuffle the 3 kids are seated after the guy believes who they are after a fake phone call.
They proceed to eat at the restaurant.

But when he real Abe Frilman would have turned up and they would have been caught.

Also they go to a Chicago baseball game.  Why would this be on during a workday before 3pm?

Yes indeed.  I am waiting for John Sullivan to appear on the credits at the end.

Baseball games during the day on a workday are common enough
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

I can answer the baseball question. Wrigley Field is in Wrigleyville on the north side of Chicago. It is a residential area and for that reason there were objections to the addition of floodlights to Wrigley Field due to light pollution. This meant that all of the Cubs games were played during the day with the first pitch of most being just after 1pm. Lights were installed in 1988 (The last major league ball park to have them installed). Ferris Bueller had his day off in 1986 so all of the Cubs home games would have been during the day.

Yeah youre right, there was no night time games until 1988.

A bit like the old mid week Internationals here back in the day I suppose!

Ok I'll let that slide.  The Von Steuben Day parade though?

Query more than a plot hole:
At the end of the film why would Rooney (Rodney but with copperplate writing) take his sister's word that he was sick?
Not too sure if she was pretending to be his mother (she says 'kids!' when Ferris walked home sick from the hospital) and if that is the case then the scene where she kicks him in the head on the kitchen makes little sense.

Ferris Bueller never had a day off it was all made up by the unpopular Cameron who was at home sick and depressed and imagined being best friends with the popular kids in school and what it would be like if he was actually popular.
