Movie Plot Holes

$640m in untraceable bearer bonds 

Agreed they only appear to have two security guys

Seriously.  Two lads half arsed dressed in grey suits loitering around the lobby is the sum total of the security protecting 640million dollars.

Cant imagine the insurance company paying out for their negligence

Did John Sullivan play a part in the script of this movie anybody know?

Also, Andy folds up the Prison officers suit and takes his shoes, stuffs them in to a plastic bag, swims through nearly a mile of p1ss and sh1t, only to arrive with a pristine suit freshly pressed, and shoes at the bank that all fit him perfectly, despite the prison officer being considerably smaller and fatter than him. How did he clean himself up after swimming through the sh1te? How did the suit and shoes fit him? How did the plastic bag not leak in the water? 

And finally, he gives Morgan Freeman the vaguest description of that rock where the money and letter is hidden and Freeman finds it in a few mins of looking. Also easily finds Andy on his Mexican island at the end with no problem - no issue crossing the Mexican border even though he was on parole, no probs finding Andy just cleaning his boat! 

Their English was good enough to understand “IM IN SEAT 15, SEAT 15”

Also good enough to comprehend the navy saying “Captain Phillips, please return to the seat you were in and do not move”

Great movie though. Hanks is truly an incredible actor. The final scene where he is in pure shock at what he had gone through was Oscar worthy. 

Probably yeah.

Though this is of course a major goof in the film when they first arrived there was no ambulance in the back of the truck
