Movie Plot Holes

Which one is that? Is that the one when they tell us to forget everything except the original and treat this one as the sequel? 

Also there is a scene where Myers is following the girls who are driving their car.  He is literally 5 yds behind them in his crappy station wagon.   The scene starts where he is following them in the daylight and then the next scene is he is still right behind them and its dark.  Laurie's friend pulls up at the kerb and Myers pulls up literally 5 yds behind them with his headlights on and they never saw him or thought this was weird.  Then yer wan starts driving about 20 yds and Myers follows again and then she pulls into her driveway and Myers parks the car in full view across the street.

They must be as blind as Slater in Only Fools and Horses when he for some reason can;t see the Trotters van parked under his nose in To Hull and Back.

Also Laurie sees Myers following her numerous times during the day yet doesn't find it suspicious that the kids she is childminding are screaming saying they saw a man outside the window.

And finally, Lauries friend is making popcorn or something and spills a tiny splatter of butter on her top and decides to strip off not just her top but the t shirt underneath and her pants. 

Watching Die Hard.

When John McClane arrives at the Nakatomi building he goes up to the security man and says I'm looking for Holly McClane.  The security man says type her name into the computer.  Then after a bit of hassle it beeps and the security man says ''30th floor. The party.  They're the only ones left in the building.''

Why did he make McClane type her name into the computer if he already knew where she was?
