Not really a plot hole but, Watching Commando at the moment, the opening scenes where Arnies team are killed isn't really needed in the film, take out a throw away line from the Colonel who shows up at his house even that scene could be taken out and just start with his daughter getting kidnapped it would be the same film

Anytime I hear those two words I always think of this bit of classic Simpsons |

Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".
Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn |

Out with covid so watching any crap on tv at home. The Next Karate Kid was on E4 earlier. Miyagi brings Hillary Swank to a monastery whereby she goes to squish a cockroach with her shoe and kill it. Before she does a monk grabs her to prevent her harming any of natures creatures. She is then shunned by miyagi and the monks for having a lack of respect for all living creatures. Only when she repents and saves a cricket that she is forgiven. Miyagi the fooking hypocrite. He was catching flies with chopstcks in the first Karate Kid movie.

In the Shawshank Redemption Red is released from prison. He has been in there 40 years. As he leaves prison he is wearing a suit. Where did he get that from?

Still fit after 40 years and looked in good nick. Wonder who kept it for him. Also how did he find that box so easily under the wall? Andy's instructions weren't exactly GPS accurate.

Halloween 1978 on Sky Sci Fi at 11pm. The only thing scarier than Michael Myers is the plot holes

Spotted another couple of things in Halloween. 1. At the start of the film Michael's parents come home to find him with a kitchen knife with blood on it. Upon seeing him and saying 'michael?' they just stare at him for 30 seconds and the mother puts her hands in her pockets just looking at him with the knife with blood all over it. In reality she would be hysterical and asking him what he had done etc... 2. In the film Michael does everything slowly. He walks and never runs. He drives slowly. He is never in a rush. Yet when he breaks the window of the car with the nurse in it he rushes off the roof and jumps into the drivers seat quick smart and speeds off. 3. What happened to Michaels parents? They would still be alive. 4. Earlier on in the day of Halloween Michael is wearing a mask as he stalks and hides behind the bush. Yet later on in the day in the early evening the girls drive by the store where the alarm is going off where her cop dad tells them there was a break in and a mask and knife was stolen. A few points here: How did he break into a shop in broad daylight when it would have been open? Why was he wearing a mask earlier that day if as has been shown that a break in occurred probably in the last hour long after he was seen wearing a mask? I can;t remember my last point but I'm sure its a good one.

Watching The Shining. Mr. Torrance goes into the Gold Room and says ''I'd sell my soul for a glass of beer''. Then Lloyd appears and gives him a whiskey. He is in a hotel with more food and drink that he could ever eat. I'm sure the owners left loads of beer for him so why does he sound like he hasn't had a drink in months?

The book gives good context. But your point is valid. He was a terrible alcoholic.

Did you ever watch Shallow Grave?
They find Keith Allen dead in his room with a load of money so they cut him up and bury him to steal the money. Why not just call the ambulance, take the money, and say nothing to the police.

Halloween II. Loomis tries to immolate Myers, and presumably accepts that he will go the same way. The explosion looked massive, and we saw Myers emerge from the fire, approaching Laurie, before collapsing. All the while, Loomis is still in the inferno. However, he somehow manages to survive to reappear in Halloween 4 through to 6. He is scarred, and has trouble walking. But it seems impossible that he could survive that sort of intensity for that length of time.
