Club sold with 90 mins before the deadline.

They wouldn't of gone bust if they had been expelled, but relegated to the 10th tier of English football, hasn't happened mid-season since 1992

C&N Sporting Risk. Football consultants from London.

Reading through the background of what actually happened to Bury I don't believe Steve Dale is the biggest moron in this saga, he's a moron for demanding £1 million asking price initially when he only bought the club for a quid 7 month ago.
But the biggest moron goes to the previous owner putting players on Championship contracts whilst they're in League 2 and using a bank loan to finance it all meanwhile his own property development company was going bust.

Bolton on the other hand is a slow painful death of debts dating back from years from when even Big Sam was in charge, once upon a time they were over £200 million in debt in 2019. Most of it's been wrote off but even the remaining £20 million or so is a huge ask for a League 1 side.

It appears to be the best possible outcome. I’m genuinely delighted that their fans can go to a game again soon! What else could you do on a Saturday in England?

Speaking from experience with Cork City, definitely not. It is never the same afterwards. Keep on keeping on!

Could be some day in the north west counties league next year with AFC Bury vs FC Bolton (although I seem to remember the FA sayign that teams needed more of a name change than that).

Although they might end up in the Evostik leagues due to the club size and clubs in the couunties not being able to handle the amount of travelling fans.

Really sad times for Bolton and Bury fans.

Take a look at the photos of Bury fans cleaning Gigg Lane.

Funny how much it takes for the importance of fans to be realised by the powers that be. A club becomes a club at its worst, a club becomes a business at its best.
