Galway is more of a drinking festival with a bit of racing than the other way around.
Would be one of the worst racing “festival” weeks of the year imo

Always have a great time but it really is like a needle in a haystack for a winner
Saying that, I like Lethal Steps in the first and Think Positive in the last

6/1, in Majorca bookies beside me, have not had a bet all week and I might leave it like that 👍

Verdict

The consistent Tony The Gent was fourth in this last year but had no answer when Master Speaker and Yuften went past at Killarney last time. The winner was returning to form though an 8lb rise makes this tougher while Wentwood, who finished fourth, also looks held. Waitingfortheday is up 6lb for winning at the Curragh but that was another fine run from the consistent filly and she should be in the shake-up. Honor Oak won this by eight lengths last year but shot up the weights. She won at Sligo in May but is 9lb higher than a year ago. Ciao, who has never won on Turf, could find this on the short side but KOYBIG is running so well that he can take this for David Marnane. He returned to Turf on a lowly mark and ran very well at Limerick before beating subsequent winner Minnie Haha at Killarney and Donagh O'Connor's claim can see him home.

Anyone see the video clip doing the rounds of the best dressed woman from the Galway races? Nice outfit!
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Lets say, she wasn't too fond of her winning outfit and discarded it completely.
