Foden had a good game before a late red card 

Now 4-4 Some game 

What was the other red card for 

Both were 2nd yellows I’m fairly sure. Bonkers match, Ajax had more shots on target with 9 men than 11 

 

This is why most CBs put their hands behind their backs when expecting to block a shot - you leave it at the ref's discretion otherwise. I'm fairly sure Veltman would have done that as well had he not been shouting at the ref for a perceived foul on Blind in the build up (which was more of a coming together than a foul). The first penalty was definitely a foul and the second yellows for Blind and Veltman were both fairly straightforward calls for the ref (on the basis he deems the handball intentional or avoidable). The Chelsea second goal looked marginally offside alright but 'dodgiest referring I've seen in years' is complete hyperbole.

 

Absolutely crazy game though - Ajax were superb in the first half but a very different Chelsea emerged for the second half and then Ajax started to panic a bit. They were brilliant when they went down to nine though and actually probably had the best chance to win the game when it was 4-4. Best CL group game I've seen in years.
