Can't believe how much Forest have paid Wolves for Morgan Gibbs-White, whose Premier League appearances record is not dissimilar to Aaron Connolly's. They wouldn't get 10 million for him if he was Irish.
I'm not entirely sure why but I must admit there's a part of me that would like to see Forest crash and burn after all the spending they've done. Harry Arter is still there pulling in 40k a week, I wonder would they even notice or care if he didn't bother going in in the morning.

Gibbs-White is a talented player who had flashes of brilliance for us but his only consistent season was last season in the champ for Sheff U so it is bizarre but seems like their owner is on a massive ego trip and will pay way above market value so he 'wins' .. but I'll take it and pay for Mattheus Nunes and Goncalo Guedes instead. I have read that in the Wolves academy he and Ronan were rated fairly equally (though Ronan older) but Nuno favoured MGW.
They have a challenge ahead they did need to invest but they lack squad familiarity and a strongest 11. Also their best player (or at least gamechanger) is probably Lingard who will get bored in 10 games if they struggle and favour TikTok.

Is Ronan injured or just not picked this week to sit on the bench. Cundle and Dendoncker named on the bench with Nerves, Nunes, and Moutinho starting.

Possible loan move on the cards? Don't think he's injured

Was thinking that alright if a possible loan move could be in the works. Think Wolves would hang onto him though unless it's a loan with a chance of a permanent move so they get a few quid for him. Long term for them probably would be better to loan Cundle for experience and keep Ronan to warm the bench as back up for this season. |

The lad is miles off PL standard. A Championship move would be a fantastic opportunity for him.

I'd have to agree, championship would be amazing, I'd say the same applies to Coventry

Started for Wolves u23s tonight so that all but rules him out of playing in the EFL cup tomorrow. He needs to seriously consider going away on loan or just leaving permanently if he can't even get game time in the early stages of the league cup.
On the flip side, no Moran or Ferguson for Brighton u23s, can probably expect to see them in the squad for their cup game tomorrow.

As you could have guessed no Ronan in the match day squad tonight. Hopefully he can sort a move within the next week. |

Dendoncker on his way to Villa so Ronan probably going no where this season unless they bring signings in which is unlikely.

He's too old to be hanging around for a few Carabao Cup minutes - hope he lands somewhere before the day is out, although shouts for his inclusion in a senior squad any time soon seem far fetched at this point and really just based on the position he plays in rather than any serious level of achievement in the game.

Highly doubtful. Was back on the bench last night and would be 4th choice with Cundle being sent to Swansea on loan. Chem Campbell is there too but looks more like an attacking midfielder and someone who'd play across the front three. |

Well he is staying then, hope we actually give him a chance to prove worth at least off the bench or I will be annoyed from an Irish perspective.

I can't see him get much, if any, gametime.
Just a backup in case of a major injury crisis. |
