Sounds more like someone who should be playing hurling for Cork.

In the words of Alan Partridge, hmmm not so good.

Brighton are close to signing Adam Webster from Bristol City for £25m.
Previous clubs include Ipswich, Aldershot and Portsmouth

£25m!

This is to pave the way for Lewis Dunk to go to Leicester for some even more crazy price, and therefore Harry Maguire to Man United, apparently

Patrick Cutrone gone to Wolves for 16 million.  That a bargain. Very surprised Milan were willing to let him go and for that little. Good player, seen a good bit of him. In and out of the milan side over the last year and a bit. Never got a decent run i thought. Scored a few in europa league for them. Thats a steal i think.

Piatek will be the main striker and is a better player now.
Milan probably happy to get some money in for a back up striker with the money issues they have.

Inter supposedly open to trading Icardi for Dzeko

?????

I know Icardi is a bit a bit of a c**t  and Dzeko has done very well in Italy in the last few years but trading a 26 year old for a 33 year old is madness.

Why not offer Icardi to Man U as part of Lukaku deal

Don't think Ole wants to play with an out and out number 9, hence why he's looking rid of Lukaku.

Pretty quiet transfer window for the English clubs really.

Ndombele and Rodri about £60m each, AWB and Haller at £45m the only really big money signings, must admit I hadn't heard of any of them this time last year. Lots of around £20m range after that.

You'd imagine there'd be a big splash in the final week

Who's Haller? The striker West Ham signed?

5pm this day week the window closes for EPL clubs. You're right, its been very quiet

I’ve also noticed that a shed load of free agents are still punting around. Carroll, Sturridge, Welbeck, and Cahill all spring to mind. Equally, the likes of Llorente, Ashley Williams would usually have picked somebody up, albeit Williams in the Championship. Adrián was West Ham’s keeper for several years, and would be an upgrade for a lot of clubs.

I’m wondering if the availability of contracts in places like China, India, the US, Australia etc have changed negotiations as players can now use offers as leverage when dealing with PL clubs.

I think, given the nature of this transfer window, it might be more lucrative for free agents to hold on until after the window closes.

Depends what the aspirations are. Impossible to do that if you're looking to play EPL football as there's a squad registration window which shuts when the transfer window shuts.

But I also think that apart from Cahill, who has been linked with a lot of clubs, the line has generally been quiet for the others. Speculation can be pointless and lacking any basis, but I’m surprised.

Did Spurs not re-sign Llorente?
