That Transfer Show on Sky Sports News has been some sh*tshow There has been about 1 transfer all summer and the window closes in 3 days. Imagine filling in an hour a day of 'reports'. They should have a Connor Sammon Pun Hour. That would be tv gold.

I find it hilarious when they always put "Sky Sources" or "Sky Sports Understands" - In other words, they checked out an actual journo's Twitter and made it their own news Shout out to last summer when they read an imposter journo's Twitter account and reported Aberdeen signed a player called Yer Da Sells Avon Edited by coyne - 05 Aug 2019 at 12:13pm |

Given his age and injury record over the last few seasons, I don't think he'll be as big a loss as he would have been a few seasons ago. And that ignoring his behaviour before the US tour. You're dead right though, we need a CB for obvious reasons and a LB because Monreal is past it and Kolasinac isn't up to it.

Rooney finishing MLS season first then joining Derby.
Only half his wages will count towards FFP because of the ‘Player-Coach’ title - Nice loophole exploiting

It appears Man Utd learned something from the Falcao debacle a few years ago.

Awful lot of relatively high profile (though past their best) released players yet to sign anywhere too, Sturridge, Carroll, Welbeck, Ashley Williams, Llorente, eh, Glenn Whelan.
All have either age or injury history (or both) against them, but would have thought someone further down the EPL would have taken a gamble on Sturridge & Welbeck by now, and the likes of Llorente & Carroll wouldn't be the worst subs to have in the last 20 mins if you were looking for a goal via route 1. |

Sturridge and Welbeck's wages demands would be high enough I'd imagine, considering their injury profile and reliability issues, which could be factors in deterring lower level EPL clubs.

Coutinhio one of the most expensive players in the world, and a bloody good one too. Been flogged about ona loan deal and no takers, yet.
All very odd

I suspect Barca are looking to shift the wage burden and probably recoup a heavy loan fee, that might otherwise buy a world class player. If this was a straightforward deal with no strings attached, he’d have been pictured holding a jersey of a new club already. Simple fact is, some players are now being priced beyond the transfer budgets and wage structure of the vast majority of clubs.

Don’t see what’s odd about it.
Barca have priced him at 80 million which is beyond most clubs budget and then you’d imagine a £140 mil signing would be on absurd wages which is also beyond most clubs even for a loan. It’s upto the player to take a cut or most likely rot in the reserves

Coutinho is a brilliant player. Barca was a horrid career move though. Amazing how these lads get their heads turned by the bluff and bluster of these big Spanish clubs. He needs to move now before his career really starts to dip. Would love to see him play in Serie A for a few seasons again.

Everton's offer of 30 mill for Iwobi rejected by Arsenal with Everton expected to come back with an improved offer. As I said to one of the lads, Everton better come back. 40 mill Arsenal are supposedly holding out for

Everton getting alot of stick on social media for this. Going from Zaha to Iwobi is a bit like having a nice Merc then downgrading to a Fiat 500.
