Hes a good player hampered by injury. I think Celtic turned out to be a terrible careers decision. (Easy to say in hindsight)

I think this is a good test for him and I feel next season will be big for him.

I think loans like this are often a deliberate test of mentality.

Scottish League 2, that is not a good level to be playing at. He must rue the day he signed for Celtic, might as well have gone on loan to Wexford Youths. I would gladly never see another Irish player sign for celtic again.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall to witness the sales pitch Celtic gave him before signing. I'm guessing the last couple years isn't the lip service he got.

It would be an achievement to get a loan move to 2017.

I glanced at their wiki earlier. Quite the history. I knew about their long existence but didnt know about the fa cup and the fact they owned Hampden!

They were nearly called the Celts but landed on Queens Park by one poxy voteLOL

Interesting club.

Yeah, Linfield played in the FA Cup in the late 1880s too. Useless fact was Linfield beating Cliftonville 7-0 in a replay is the only FA Cup game to be played on Christmas Day. That seems unlikely to change!

I went and watched them against Peterhead at Hampden some years ago. A surreal experience, especially as they piped in the recording of a full house as the teams came out.

Last amateur team in a professional league on either side of Hadrian's Wall too. It's a pity they didn't stay amateur, in that sense. Often have tremendous shirts too.

That was Partick Thistle and he didn't own it himself. He bought a controlling share and gave it to the supporters. He died 18 months or so ago.
