Must be horrible to be a utd fan at present. Best thing to shout for is city (the city rivals) to do better than liverpool. At least 70% in Ireland it's like that

You might have stopped after your opening sentence. In fact, you could have stopped after "fan".

Catching up with MOTD here
Is that the Firmino assist that twitter was saying was as good as you’ll see for the second goal?? An overhit pass that the keeper should have easily gathered
Edit - it was clearly the third goal then

Liverpool absolutely ripped Newcastle asunder after going behind. Klopp and the team have very much tweaked how they are going about their games tactically this year. It is far closer to Klopps first full season in charge when they played some great stuff in the first half of that season. Playing far higher up the pitch and just trying to blow teams away. I think that's in response to the number of draws that effectively cost them the title last season. They realise that to win the title, most likely they can't afford to be dropping points mid table sides like Leicester, Everton, United and West Ham.
City without Laporte is huge. Sane loss cannot be underestimated either. Massive loss imo. They will get away with in most games, but going up against Liverpool for the title they already have very little room for error. That 5 point gap is going to be tough to close already.

It wouldn't be like the bookies to over rate City They have them favourites for the CL every season Been a worrying start to the season for City, with the injuries to Sane and Laporte and the dropped points v Spurs and Norwich Liverpool don't look like dropping a point. Obviously its very early days. |

Great start for Liverpool but it's only 5 games in, don't think anyone will be getting carried away neither will those behind them be getting too worried about being a few points off at this stage

Have Liverpool improved on any results from last season? Have they beat anybody that they only drew with last season?

True. The way things are at Old Trafford right now, Liverpool not winning the title will be how Man Utd fans define Premier League success for the foreseeable future.

Liverpool have a tough run of fixtures coming up.
City still favourites but they need to go on a run now. 5 pts gap this early in the season is fine but they don’t want that going to 9/10 pts. But those 2 will finish way ahead of the rest. Even after 5 games that’s clear.

Last December, City lost 3 times in 4 league games, leaving them 3rd on 44 points on Boxing Day, behind Spurs(!) on 45 pts and L'pool on 51. And as you will all know, they then won 18 of the remaining 19 games. Obviously L'pool are in formidable form and should probably be favourites this season, but no-one does pressure like a Guardiola team.

I'll put my head on the chopping block here. Liverpool will win the title comfortably. What's more, I reckon they will top the table for the entire season.
