That's because Georgia are extremely ordinary.

Sure they may have improved a bit over the last few years but at the same time we've regressed a lot ourselves. (Thus we may be guilty of over rating them to extent)

For all I hear about how technically good they are as a team we've always beaten them (bar the away game under O'Neill last campaign)

They probably should have been winning today, they fell away a bit after that and the Swiss showed their quality.
There is no doubt that Georgia are ordinary, but so are we. They seem to have improved and we have regressed. They look very poor at the back, but we haven't much in attack. They will have definitely looked at the games against us an opportunity to show how they have improved. I can't see us winning in Tblisi and I wouldn't be shocked if we drew with them at home, especially if Mick picks the eleven he has gone for today.

I doubt anyone would be overly surprised if "the one goal" wins it for either side be it in Dublin or Tblisi.

It'll be very much a case of drab 0-0s or a 1-0 either way I sense.

It's all rather depressing how far we've fallen but not surprising.

No other Group D games matter at this stage. We won’t be taking advantage of any potential Switzerland or Denmark slip ups.

We need the Swiss to beat Denmark/Georgia home and away.
They will probably top the group.

It’s the hope that kills you.
The Swiss and Danes will also get 6 pts v Georgia (H) and Rock (A). All our hard games are still to come.
Although the draw was brilliant for us tonight.

But I’m not getting carried away.
Beating the 4th seeds at home is expected.

The away games v Georgia/Swiss/Denmark are key.

Both Switzerland and Denmark showed their frailties tonight.
We have a chance against both of these teams, home and away.
Also I know both sides have sh*te fans, but why was it only half full tonight for what should of been a battle between first and second?

Ya i saw that. Crowd on livescore said just over 18000. You would think it would be full.

The Swiss sure like to ship late goals. Mental note for autumn fixture.

No bad thing to see them concede a fair few goals this year. We certainly shouldn't build them up to be any better than they actually are.

LOL I just came on to say how good they are.

But if you take out all their good players and performances, we are as good as them! Some of our fans have serious trouble with reality!

Cracking performance collectively and individually, but they'd want to sort out their concentration levels in the final stages.

Ireland are the quintessential gammy team to be 1 up against if you have a tendancy for brain farts in the remaining minutes.

They've conceded six goals in their last two competitive matches. They can talk all they like about dominating possession and creating chances but they've still shipped six goals (all from open play too)
