Ireland have been drawn with hosts Hungary, as well as Poland and Wales in Group A of the U17 EUROs

Very good. England, Italy, and Germany were three teams also in Pot 2 we could have drawn and Hungary are only in Pot 1 because of being hosts so we've possibly gotten the weakest pot 1 team.

I'm not trying to say that the LOI will never produce a good player again, obviously there's been plenty of lads who have gone over at 18/19/20 and done well. I just feel like for the lads such as Evan Ferguson, who are really special, being held back in the LOI is an impediment. Plenty of good coaches in Ireland, but the standard is not comparable to the UK.

Should also be mentioned that the top two teams in each group move onto the quarter finals and the top five teams in the knockouts qualify for the U17s WC in Peru in November.

Yeah he's been injured since the last qualifiers and more than likely came in carrying an injury since he only played the first half of the second game.

Melia made his league debut there for Pats tonight, came on with 20 minutes to go at 0-0 (finished 3-0). Strong show of faith to throw a 15 year old on with the game all to play for and Pats needing a win/bounce following Clancy's sacking.
