Underage football folk. What’s the thoughts on the SFAI and Rudd Dokter situation?

The division between the national underage leagues and schoolboy football is not ideal at all. But I'd be very sceptical about any complaints from John Early.

Their seat at the top table should be revoked until they get their house in order. Have to take any of their views/opinions with a pinch of salt.

am absolutely disgusted, absolute rediculous decision by the DDSL, dont see how this benefits anyone here. Just sounds like the DDSL doing it to have a pop at the FAI cause they can. Only losers here are the kids and their return to the dark ages of hoofin the ball up a pitch.

I look after kids going u12 this year and they would have had 2 years playing 5 a side, then 1/2 a season at 7 a side due to summer change, then another half season due to covid. so basically 1 season at 7a side before going to 11 a side, absolute farcical.

you see the NDSL response tongiht?

Am I right in saying that the clubs were never consulted about these changes?

It's a farce, and another example of how fragmented underage football is in this country.

I'd be shocked if there are any other underage leagues in Europe who are playing on such pitches at those age groups. Self-serving nonsense.

Apparently, the DDSL have reversed this decision.

So he kept me soul for ransom.

Jaysus, this whole episode would leave you holding your head in your hands.
It's one thing changing people at the top of the FAI but we'll still struggle as long as this level of self interest still exists.

Can we give Brian Kerr a one year contract as CEO with the remit of doing a hatchet job on all the blazers and nullifying all the little mini chiefs around the country? He has a few scores to settle. I'd pay to watch him give Fran Gavin the slaps for example. Then like the end of V for Vendetta, he can perform his coup de grace by blowing up the entire Fascist apparatus and we can rebuild from there.
