I saw a comment from Kenny that he is looking forward to the first games in Dublin. Does anyone know if it's been confirmed that the U21s will play in Dublin?
I was hoping they'd finally come back and at least play a game in Turner's Cross, Cork. |

I would've guessed they'd play a few games in Oriel, though is it up to grade for U21 qualifiers?

Why on earth would they play them there? There are some decent grounds around the country, play them there.

Logic being Kenny would've attracted decent support up there.

He would attract decent interest at any LOI ground, no point playing it in a dump. Move it around Waterford, Sligo, Cork and Galway. Out of curiosity, what would happen if the FAI wanted to play one at the Brandywell?

They should focus on venues that are potentially going to be used for the 2023 competition, build up local support and use them as showcases for that bid. Anyway, I vote for Cork!

It's literally the worst ground in the LOI. Bit of an insane suggestion. The games will get good mainstream attention now, wherever they're played.

Geremi has let Kilbane in here, cross comes out to Holland, 1:1!!

Tomorrow, Stephen Kenny will name a home-based squad for a training camp at Dunboyne Castle Hotel on 4th & 5th February. They will then play an FAI Amateur selection on the 6th February in Whitehall. Edited by DalyerRegular - 23 Jan 2019 at 6:32pm |

Dunboyne Castle has no sports ground like Carton House so I'd assume they'll be using St. Peter's GAA pitches in front of Dunboyne Castle Housing Estate for any one who wants to go out for a look.

Meant to include "if they are staying in Dunboyne for their actual sessions". Abbotstown makes more sense, it's only down the road.

Jim Crawford to be announced as Stephen Kenny's assistant manager. Great appointment, from what I've read of Crawford. https://www.independent.ie/s/soccer/international-soccer/stephen-kenny-to-announce-jim-crawford-as-new-ireland-u21s-assistant-37744421. - https://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/international-soccer/stephen-kenny-to-announce-jim-crawford-as-new-ireland-u21s-assistant-37744421.html
