I assume there are clauses up the wazoo though.

Of course he will be in charge for 2028. If he's still doing the Business by then who wouldn't want him in charge. Twisting a story suit.

Fantastic news and a real sign of ambition shown by the FAI to secure him on a long term deal.

Sounds like one of the dodgy ads that come up on my phone whenever I'm watching videos in Incognito mode.

According to Kenny's Kids, a new contract is likely to be announced before the next squad announcement, along with a replacement for Anthony Barry.

Any new contract surely must be subject to overall NL performance. A long-term contract following another poor campaign would be total nonsense.

There's no point giving him a six month contract. 18 months to the end of the euro campaign

I don't believe the FAI would give him the Euros in the wake of a bad NL campaign.

Well given that we're likely to only be playing 2 teams in the Nations League then judging whether he keeps his job because of 4 games against Scotland and Armenia seems a bit pointless.

He'll be given a contract up to the end of Euro qualifying

So poor results against Armenia and Scotland wouldn't count? Less than seven points would be poor. Kenny, like any other manager, must be accountable.

Ukraine reportedly have 19 players playing outside the country. If they put a team out, they will sweat blood for the cause - and you'll hear them singing their national anthem all the way to Dublin.

Sorry Mr Brick, I dont agree here with you. It doesnt make sense to give Kenny a contract to just cover a very short period of time. If he does ok in that time, are you still on the fence and ok to give him a year or 18 months? We cant keep going from short term contract to short term contract. At some stage, the FAI have to show a bit of faith and give him a decent contract and a chance to prove himself. With some get out clause if things go wrong and we dont qualify for tournaments maybe..

I dont think anyone is asking for Kenny to get the job for life. His results have been poor but there has been improvements.

Believe whatever you like. He’s going to get a contract for the Euros.

Still with this nonsense of a short-term contract?
Season-ticket sales should be enough to show where the sentiment is.

Long-term contract.
Get it done.

I renewed my season ticket and don't want him getting a long term deal, I know plenty with the same opinion too.

Only reason they should give him a deal involving the Euros is if there is a performance related clause for the nations league.
