Think this season we should just be content to see him stay fit and knock in the odd goal here and there. What the lad needs more than anything is minutes. I don't see Norwich going up, so hopefully next season he can really kick on. If he's not done much by the end of 2023 then maybe there's cause to be a bit concerned.

It's not a sh*t take - it's his opinion and a valid one. On what we've seen of Idah at club and international level it's not unreasonable to suggest he's borderline Championship/League 1 standard. Your comment about fans not sharing your view is pathetic.

Maccatacca is a good poster not having a go but the jumping to conclusions off one game that Norwich as a whole were sh*te in is way over the top. Just to show the other side of it Connolly was destined for a move. back to Galway until he scored twice for Hull then he was back. Reality lies between the two. No transparency. Also the excuse for the Omobamidele sub really annoyed me manager is out of order doing that to him when he is clearly not the issue. Collins I could see why he was benched McNally can see why he wasn’t playing for Burnley no issue when it’s justified even mildly justified. That today was just an idiot manager doing something for the sake of it and inventing a narrative to justify it. Even if it turns out Omobamidele was injured just say as much.

These past 2 games are only the second time Idah has even completed back-to-back full 90's. With the amount of football he's missed he needs a long run of starts just to get up to speed and actually develop. So yeah, writing him off now is definitely sh*t take. |

Apologies I may have been a bit ott with Macca there, but clearly a well run club with a very good manager who see him at work daily have seen fit to offer him a 5 year contract. I dont think either the club or the manager see Norwich slipping down to League One any time soon, so I'm happy to believe that the lad still has a big future ahead of him granted a bit of luck with injuries. As Greenie says thats his first back to back 90s in god knows how long, let's just give him a chance after what has been the guts of a year out through injuries.

We saw the same with Obafemi. Lots of talk about a lad who had never played two full matches in a row. I think he had just achieved that career goal when that March squad came around he didn't go to, and there was speculation he didn't want to play for us when the reality was he was just finding decent fitness for the first time in his senior career. Reality is you can't be holding lads up to much scrutiny who, through injuries, have never played senior football at any consistency. Idah just needs games. Goals will follow, but for now, to just get out weekly and play would be an achievement. |

started again tonight, up front on his own. Norwich 2 up at HT and Idah has been very good. Really leading the line - though should probably have scored by now. Suspect manager will be very happy with him. Btw, find Norwichs first goal somewhere, one of the best volleys you will ever see.

Would have had an assist there but for a last gasp Kevin Long clearance off the line. Was a good clearance in fairness to him.

You're in the minority with that opinion.. Norwich fans extremely critical of him. Poor finishing and caught offside too many times seem to be the sticking points. Fans can be very fickle with young strikers though

That was his first time starting and completing 3 consecutive games of senior football. Hopefully thats him over the worst of his injuries.

Yeah, the fact he is not being substituted tells you he is doing well. Should have scored tonight but his hold up play key to 2 of the 3 goals

He was involved in the build up play for Norwich's 2nd and 3rd goal with holding up play and laying it off to a team mate. Rudd made a good save to deny Idah a goal. He worked very hard especially in the second half and he made life awkward for Birmingham. He was out muscled a bit by Long but he did well when he came deep to link up play or had a run at players using his pace. A big improvement on his performance against Wigan at the weekend. |

OK, but that doesn't count. Your man there looked at a few Twitter comments and is clearly in a better position to judge his performance than someone who watched the game.

Are you on telling them their wrong also then? Bit hard to chime in with an opinion when you haven't watched the match is it not?

I didn't even give an opinion, just conveying what Norwich fans had made of his performance I didn't say he was in the wrong either, said he was in a minority. Learn to read and calm down

Fair enough, I'm perfectly calm and capable of reading. Maybe watch a match before relaying the toxic sh*te you see on SM though
