I thought it was expensive for Wetherspoons. Local pubs are cheaper.

slatts lost its way after most of the staff left. stef and mick were great lads, alex tolerable but at least he added to the place. shadow of a place now, zero interest in it. the bush is great, relaxed atmosphere too. smyths further up haddington road another top spot

Same story with Temple Bar pints, there's plenty of places that aren't €7.50 a pint in the area. They charge €7.50 a pint to cover themselves from the Yanks that are gonna sit there nursing a pint for 2 hours while listening to their free live music

Smyths is a lovely pub. Big fan of it. Also like the Oarsman for pre match pints.

Stopped going in there earlier in the year, few pints in the mutton lane and the oyster tavern and then on to crane lane for the late ones.
