It might help in our expectations of Parrott if we don't put him in the goalscorer bracket. He looks like he'll end being a number 10 of sorts or a player who operates in the forward line. An out and out striker he won't be.

great to see Parrott getting some good performances under his belt. Seems to have hit a nice patch of form. Totally agree with the comments about taking pressure off him to score goals all the time. Let him develop and let's see how he gets on. He'll be coming back to a much changed Spurs at the summer, hard to tell what Conte will make of him. At least if he's playing well with MK Dons, he stands a chance of getting a transfer to a decent club in the summer

Probably a good barometer for him from now to the end of the season is whether he has developed enough by the end to get a Championship loan move next season. If he ends up in League 1 again next year that would probably be a bit disappointing.

It was a great turn inside the box before his assist for O'Hora.

Personally I think if he could keep playing a key role in thier push for promotion this season and put himself in a position where he could go back to MK Dons next season regardless of them going up or not that would be a successful season. Scott Twine looks set for a bigger move regardless of them staying up next season O'Riley got one fairly handy. It's a good club for him to move to with a view to progressing.

18 games without a goal, 23 from open play. Almost in March now. His overall performances have been improving. Hopefully this will be reflected with goals eventually.

Sounds like Parrott put it on a plate for him to be fair. I think there is a need to adjust to the kind of player Parrott is developing into - he's a creator now, not so much a goalscorer.

lovely assist, Parrot was excellent throughout, should have slotted in first half though but wasn’t an easy chance.

another 90 minutes, another win for his team (3rd from 24 with bigger clubs behind them) with assist for the winner thrown in.
When do we agree he’s having a very good season?

Easy to write him off because he isn't scoring but he is getting good game time and growing as a player. He seems to be a decent playmaker and maybe the goals will come...
Or maybe he just isn't that out and out no9 we would like but more of a no 10 or supporting striker. A lot of young players play a certain role/position during youth career but end up developing into another.

Far too many of todays generation are obsessed by stats! Goals are all that matters to them. They wouldn’t have been able to enjoy players like Zidane in their prime as he didn’t score enough goals.

When I see our young players been written off here I always think of Zidane (only 6 goals in 61 appearances by the time he hit 20
And didn’t get a game for France until he was 22) and Figo who scored 16 in only his first 129 games. We’ve never had a player of that Caliber and unlikely to have but I think it’s worth mentioning when pointing out the folley of writing players of too early. Of course there are 100s who didn’t hit the heights early promise showed - Franz Carr springs to mind (that’s a joke for those the younger ones who go googling to find out who he is), but players like F Edu etc.. Closer to home Walters didn’t start playing for us until he was about 26 and McG even older. TP will frustrate playing for Ireland but think (maybe it’s hope) he’ll be a big contributor I think in next 10 years for us.
