Interesting post this. Little truth to the block Parrotts path to the first team no doubt but does show he's playing well and impressing there. Hopefully he can keep fit and keep it up.

Yeah little premature to suggest he might be a possible Kane replacement but he's been good in his last 5 odd games for ipswich last year, scored a couple for the ireland seniors and has carried that forward to MKDons which all seems positive.

Next year I can see him having a second pop at the championship but at the moment he's developing him game very well for MKDons.

He seems to be doing fine, I confess to not watching the mighty MK Dons regularly, but he is starting to produce reasonably regular goal involvements which he needs to do as a forward player. He is 19 and articles like this aren't really of much use to anyone, it only builds up the hype around the lad and encourages unrealistic expectations when he gets on the pitch. Leave him at it, he's playing regularly and doing well by all accounts, he's an excellent prospect, but from what I've seen of him to date, he doesn't look close to ready for international football. Personally I think he might have benefitted from one more campaign with the U-21s who badly need a striker.

it's a punditarena report on a story on 90mins that has no direct quotes or named sources.
I, for one, am sold on this.

Ahh of course hence the "little truth to it". Still good to see a feature highlighting his impact. MK Dons fans seem worried they might lose him in Jan to a Championship loan he's looking so comfortable for them. 4 goals and 4 assists in 10 games decent numbers. All very positive.

They're only worried because it's happened to them before and most recently last season. But two of those was lads being recalled because they were sold by their parent clubs. Spurs would be stupid to recall him as he seems settled at MK Dons and Swansea would be the only move in the championship and they're struggling this season.

He's already scored more for Eire then Kane.

I have a total irrational dislike to Troy currently due to his mad looking beard. Shave it off.

Kane will be out the door at the end of the season which means a slot should open up for Parrott next year. I just hope that Spurs see fit to give him a proper chance and don't repeat what Norwich are doing with Idah and giving him a 5 minute run out at the end of the game when its too late.

I really cannot see Spurs replacing Harry Kane with Troy Parrott. If he is lucky he will be a bit part player next season. That's the best we can hope for.

Kane gives you 25 goals. No chance Troy is going to step up and deliver those numbers.

he most likely won't, but dont forget that when Kane was Parrott's age now, he scored 5 goals in league 1 for Leyton Orient

There is no way Spurs won’t bring in a €40-50m plus striker to replace Kane.  Troy is not ready to take on a lead role and the pressure that goes with it.  However that doesn’t mean he can’t get decent game time if he goes back.  Spurs have plenty of attacking players but very few out and out strikers.  When Kane goes the shape of the attack may change.  His best bet is to do the full season at MK Dons and work hard.  His chance will come.

IDK why Parrott and Kane's loan records are constantly being compared. Kane has consistently scored more goals anywhere he's went, right from the start.

This is a bit of a problem for us moving forward with a few of our players, e.g. Bazunu and Parrott are currently playing for L1 clubs and many on here are suggesting that both should be ahead of Kelleher and Idah/Connolly, as they are only bit part players at their PL clubs, which is understandable to some degree, but what happens when/if both are recalled next season, then Baz and Troy end up in the same situation as Caoimhin and Adam/Aaron. Troy wont be a direct replacement for Kane, zero chance of that happening imo, at best he might become a bench option behind some brand new shiny 50mn striker a la Vlahovic. Worth noting that the 17yo Scarlett is currently occupying that back up striker role on Spurs bench.

If he's lucky he'll get another good loan move next season to continue his development.

I'm writing him off totally, not just as a footballer but also as a human being. If you're not going to match Kane's record at 19 then I dont want to know.

Evan Ferguson is pushing 18 and I'm losing patience here too.

There's a toddler in Brazil hitting hattricks in the men's game. Someone should check of he's eligible.
