It could take another referendum to change this but this will not get enough votes for generations

How so? Surely nigh on identical situations only one of them actually played underage football through the grades?
Well his parents were actually living there rather than just happened to be visiting at the time he dropped out and he was there for first three years of his life. Not much of a real connection but still certainly more than Obafemi who was here maybe a week as a new born and whose parents never lived in ireland.

Thought Obafemi's family lived here when he was born and left when he was a baby / toddler?

No they just happened to literally be visiting relatives in Dublin when he popped out. That wouldn't entitle him to nationality in a lot of countries and I don't think makes him Irish in anything other than a nominal legal sense.

He was born here, if he see's himself as Irish then he has every right to do so. Believe it or not, you're not the arbiter of national identification.
We're decent enough..

Call me cynical but I suspect he wouldn't necessarily identify himself very much as Irish were he not a professional footballer seeking to enhance his career.

But then he might not identify by nationality at all, not greatly at least. To a lot of people nationality is coincidental or fluid, often even both.

Troy has scored both goals (two penalties which he both won) against Liverpool at u18 level lol. Seems unfair playing a lad who's made his full international debut at that level

Man utd vs Tottenham game on and I cant say that Mason Greenwood has anything on Troy Parrott.

I'd go as far as saying that if Troy played for United he would probably start ahead of him tonight.

Greenwood is an exceptional talent. Scoring record even better than Parrotts at youth level. I would t necessarily disagree with you about Troy getting games at Utd. I think O Connor would have played by now too if he had stayed

Think O'Connor would definitely have played in league cup and against Astana.

Take off the blinkers ffs. Parrott hasn't done anything at senior level yet. He's still unproven whereas
Greenwood already looks an excellent prospect and good finisher at senior level.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.
