Why? While I know as much about Troy's progress as you, how do you know that the key to Troy's development is in fact the opposite? Maybe the very thing he needs is competitive game time. Whether at Spurs or loan somewhere else.

Yeah just realized that the top PL teams aren’t in this round. Even still, there’s a good chance will see some our Bournemouth lads playing, while I think I read that Aaron Connolly is certain to play for Brighton this week. Hopefully Norwich rest Pukki and Idah gets a chance too. |

I would much rather he wasn’t rushed. He has loads of time.

Good enough old enough, look at Barca yesterday playing a 16 yo, I think we will see Troy playing for Spurs soon enough with the way Spurs are playing at the moment.

It's a shame that Tottenham aren't playing until the next round

League Cup games are going to represent a huge chance for Parrott and Connolly and with a bit of luck for Travers, Kilkenny and Idah too.
Impress in those games and they’ll start getting chances in the league from the bench.

No rush for the average 17-year-old. but I don't think Troy is the average 17-year-old. Maybe he needs to strike while the iron is hot. Maybe right now what he needs is game time.

It’s been spurs problem for a few seasons now. They are crying out for another wide forward. Once the league cup comes around it will be clearer if Poch thinks Troy is ready. I still think there is no rush at 17.

Was thinking the same. Game was crying out for a goal poacher. Kane was having a poor game also. Needed someone else in there.

Crazy scenario that Poch's final sub is to bring on Ben Davies for Danny Rose when one nil down.
Not saying Troy was the answer, but what is the logic in having such a defender heavy subs bench and having literally no striker options? Moura would easily have been yanked early had there been a striker on the bench.

Doesn't make the bench according to Nathan Murphy.

Robbie has an Instagram story and Parrott's jersey is hanging in the changing room. Could just be the 19th man though.

Georges-Kevin N'Koudou has gone on loan to Besiktas for the season. Think he's made the bench for Spurs' opening couple of PL games so one less body in the way for Parrott.

Signed as a right-back and broke through at right-back, played right-back at Bury and Hibs on loan, only switched to left-back 4 years ago due to injuries/ golbourne leaving and stayed there for 2 seasons after impressing and got player of year at wolves on the left. Switched to right wing back after they switched formation and signed Barry Douglas.

He isn’t anymore, but that’s where he established himself at Wolves and wars fairly average whenever I saw him there. His career has taken off since he moved to the right and Wolves started using wing-backs. There’s no delusion at all!! (I felt the second exclamation mark counteracts your second question mark)
