Kane may well be on his way in the summer if reports are to believed.

The supporters cheering will have irked him. Reminiscent of the reaction at the Aviva when McClean was brought on for his début. Trap just dug his heels in harder after that.

What a bell, but good work from his perspective everything fell into place and will enhance his summer budget
I don't agree with THAT, in the workplace!

https://www.football365.com/tag/jose-mourinho - Mourinho defended Parrott’s penalty miss but was quick to point out he had not impressed in his cameo.

Mourinho told BBC Sport: “The penalty is nothing. He is a penalty taker in the under-23s, he scores every one in the unders.

“He was so confident, he wanted to take one, he wanted to take the responsibility, it’s an experience in his career.

“The problem is not his experience. The problem is the 30 minutes.“Now people can see that he has to work a lot so don’t think that Parrott is the second Harry Kane because he’s just a young kid that needs to work.

“Let’s forget the penalty because we all miss the penalties, it was not Troy.”

It shows guts and self confidence. Undoubtedly there are many senior, and well respected players who bottle taking penalties.

Mourinho said his attitude problem was when he was playing or training with u23s or u19s, that he felt he was too good for it and his negative attitude brought down morale with u23/19 teammates. Said he had same problem with McTominay at Utd

And how on earth would Mourinho know that, he's barely allowed him to play for the underage sides since he took over! When Parrott has play for them, he's scored 11 goals in 7 games or something ridiculous like that; stinks of an attitude alright.... This is a classic case of Mourinho throwing sh*t at the wall and hoping some of it sticks.
We're decent enough..

In fairness to Jose, I think he might be right but I should probably be posting this on the unpopular opinion thread. LOL

Insofar as you can read anything into 25 minutes tonight (not very far at all, tbf), then for all the lad's nice touches and running around etc, this evidence suggests Mourinho is right, Troy's not yet ready to mix it with the big boys.

It's possibly the only thing the Poisonous One is right about this season, mind.

Could be said for half that Spurs team last night.

Some great sh*thousing from Krul throughout that shootout though. Top notch stuff.

He's one of the last keepers you'd want to face in a shootout tbh. Has had an aura about him since the 2014 WC shootout against Costa Rica. Surely should have been re-taken though, was well off his line.

In terms of his attitude towards U-19's/23's, he is too good for that level. I doubt there are many 18 year olds out there who would take being dropped down to that level well tbh.

He'll have a longer future at Spurs than Mourinho will, but should get out of there on loan next season.

He knows he is too good, spurs fans know he is too good, 9 gls in 6 games at u23/u19 level this season. He shouldn't have signed new deal. Including seniors, 7 starts since August and 3 sub apps is sh*t. Either play him at u23 or play him senior, 1 youth app since November, he is not match fit and that's gonna show as it did tonight with seniors. He is lose/lose situation  at min.

No, the biggest problem is other peoples unrealistic expectations - incl all the Spurs fans who cheered when he came on, like he was the Second Coming of Jimmy Greaves or something.
