better to be at a premiership club than at a first division club even just for the training and never mind the wages this lad is working and will be earning money for his young family no one ever wants to know that thoug do they
Not a chance. At 23 the training doesn't mean sh*t anymore, he needs to be playing football. Apparently he's earning around £5.5k p/w now, not impossible to earn that, or close, at a lower Championship or top League One side.

Its £2k less than the average Championship wage. As you said could be earning that or more there or give or take the the same top half of League One while playing week in and out.

Its not like hes in a similar position to say Kelleher who is a on substantial amount to be back up keeper at a Premier League club he probably wouldn't get anywhere else. Nor is he getting games in the cup or in Europe like Kelleher. Nor he is playing/training week in/out with would class players like him.

If he was, then you could maybe understand him wanting to be a squad player there but hes miles off it.

not about being in a squad for premiership games he is still earning a good wage there and the same for kelleher he has good training in the premiership and does not need to drop to first division or swiss league for games. Same old story when it comes to lad in the spl where people here dont realise that football at a top club makes more difference then at small clubs dont matter how much you play. look at hendricks he was much better when at prem club and not even playing now he is playing first division barelely kicks the ball haha

Same with Kilkenny for Bournemouth. Theyre both 23 turning 24 in the new year, they really need to kick on.

The pair of them could easily have been regulars in the Ireland squad by now with 20+ caps like Knight or Molumby had they already moved on and were playing regularly.

He's 23.5 years old and hasn't even played 70 senior games at club level.

Both Coventry and Kilkenny looked like they would be senior internationals a few years ago.

Hodge could follow them if he's not careful.

Ya I honestly don't know how he thought he was going to get a sniff of any regular gametime staying at West Ham this season. Currently it seems he is back-up for the back-up at West Ham with just two PL2 appearances sofar for West Ham says it all
It was very native, badly advised or maybe he is too comfortable at WH now. But he is 23yo, will be 24 before the end of the season and he hasn't played a full season of senior football for any one club other than half season loans.
I thought he showed in his last half season loan at Rotherham that he was capable  of being a Championship player.
Didn't West Ham/Moyes say he was free to leave last season?
Hopefully he leaves in January  and gets on with his career.

Kilkenny on the bench for Bournemouth tonight also.

Agreed, he'd be pushing for a place in the Irish squad if he'd got himself a Chship club.
Exactly and because he didn’t likes of Taylor have chance push their claims and earn opportunity.

Given signed his autobiography for me at a signing in O'Mahoney's in Limerick a few years ago, he's the same height as me too. Hands like shovels
