Well done lads. What are you doing Tuesday?
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

It's a brilliant achievement. Lost 5 of their best before the elite phase and breezed through, playing lovely football. We should be proud of them.
Geremi has let Kilbane in here, cross comes out to Holland, 1:1!!

This competition is wide open ....some top nations really struggling to qualify, England, Germany, France and Spain need a lot of breaks to make the finals in their last games on Tuesday.

That's something that shouldn't be overlooked either. Great achievement. Hopefully they can perform well at the tournament and you would hope that RTE will show some, if not all, of their games.

That link won't work on Internet explorer for anyone having problems. Chrome works grand.

Who are the standouts with this 19 squad do people think. I haven't been keeping tabs all that closely on them

Half Time 1-0 Ireland late goal scored by McGuinness (Centre Half), header from a free kick.

Afolabi, Ferry, Wright, Smallbone, Bolger, Knight and Connell all look very promising.

Unfortunately, 3 of those mentioned above are English born so it could be another Rice/Grealish saga.

Bolger, Knight, Smallbone and Afolabi are the stand outs for me.

We have quite a few to still come into the squad from the u21s also don’t we? Thinking about going to the finals tournament during the summer. We essentially qualified missing our 5/6 best players too so it’s a great achievement.
