He never formally switched to us, so he doesn't have to "switch" to Luxembourg. He'll remain eligible for us.

Squad named at last. No Obafemi, Aaron Connolly or Brandon Kavanagh. Also, no explanation for their absences. For a very talented age group, the squad looks relatively weak.

Obafemi met up with the squad. He posted about it on Instagram. So it’s weird that he’s out.
Not in Southampton's under-23 squad tonight. Maybe he's got another 'virus'. Is that time of year I suppose

Yep, thought of McEneff when I saw the squad today.

Connolly scored tonight against Peterborough in the Checkatrade and was apparently excellent. His team mate at Brighton Dan Mandriou re-tweeted the u-19 squad announcement saying, "no Aaron Connolly, joke if you ask me. #notaclue". So it does look like he's been left out. Seems odd. Been great for Ireland and his club
Geremi has let Kilbane in here, cross comes out to Holland, 1:1!!

McEneff injured, Connolly is unlucky but we are very strong for strikers at this age group.

It wpuld appear Connolly may be suspended. He was sent off in the last u19s qualifier last year to Portugal.

Good point. Forgot about that. You'd think he would be worth having around for the second and third games though.

Hes missing for the big one, so maybe method behind the madness, very strong options regardless, McAuley, Parrott amd Afolabi are top class prospects.
